I was at Idu Station, Abuja for the 6pm train and met a huge crowd awaiting to purchase their tickets some of whom were there since morning and many before 3pm. They were told tickets have finished, in other words, reserved for some invisible invincible persons. No way! Thread.

The corruption and malpractice going on in these train stations is very disturbing. Tickets are sold through the backdoor, reserved for big guns at the expense of buyers and sold at outrageously exorbitant prices feeding on the desperation of the poor buyers. Enough is enough!

I personally prefer travelling by road but we that is no longer an option. Kaduna-Abuja highway has become a haven for kidnappers so we are compelled to helplessly follow the train in order not to get abducted. I couldn’t count the number of soldiers I saw on that train. Ironic.

Elrufai’s penchant for theatrics is unmatchable with anyone’s in this country. I mean, he legit went out for patrol wearing what looked like a Micheal Jackson’s outfit waving here, climbing there, ordering these, warning those. That guy is a master of the art.

We began to protest by blocking the entrance of the station until whoever is in charge of selling tickets comes out to explain to us why they have refused to sell tickets to these people. Before you knew it the whole station was echoing the “SOLIDARITY FOREVER” song, young & old.

Personally, I admire this new breed of Young Turks in Arewa’s political discourse. I don’t have to subscribe to their idealism and, sometimes, expansive delusions, but they are a breath of fresh air. A society plugged into sycophancy is one wired to fail, and so I do not see them

What we are advocating for is not just having government renovatte schools and then that’s all. No. By all means, renovate the schools but make sure you provide adequate teachers that are well paid and provide the materials needed for running the schools. #GiveNorthEducation

I think the poor in Nigeria voted Buhari not because they believe in his capability to change Nigeria but for his capability to drag down the rich from their mountain of luxury to the valley of poverty. Now that he's not doing that the frustration is apparent.

Shots were fired at the only train left to transport desperate commuters to and fro Abuja-Kaduna. That is gradually becoming unsafe too. Their failure to secure the roads is now coming back to haunt us all yet again. #SecureNorth or the fire will not be burning us alone.
