I guess I've never even done a proper introduction of myself on here, but uhhh, here we go, I guess.
Hi, my name is Isaac Krauss, I am a 14 year old storm chaser from Michigan! I have chased 5 different tornadoes strongest, of which being an EF2
I have always had a passion for
Attack me if you want. This is the way to do it.
Severe Thunderstorm - orange or yellow
Tornado, radar - Red
Tornado, observed - Dark red
Tornado pds - Pink
Tornado emergency - Pink with black lines or dotted lines.
@NWSPaducah
I love what you guys did with the warnings yesterday, having one big PDS tornado warning for areas downstream, and then a TOR-E for the areas about to be impacted, I honestly think more NWS offices should do that because it is a brilliant way of getting the warnings out to people
Here's an example of how misleading an ensemble mean can be at the end of a forecast. The mean track jumps way north as it approaches day 10 because so many of the southern tracks terminate early, leaving only the northern tracks left to go into the mean. Entirely an artifact.
Lets do a quick breakdown of why todays setup 'overperformed' in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
1. Low level instability (3CAPE)
3 km CAPE is crucial for creating and sustaining strong low-level updrafts. (Like tornadic mesocyclones)
Tornadoes often form within low-level
I'm going to be deleting Twitter (X) off my phone, which will lead to MUCH less frequent activity on this account.
I'm personally ok, but a lot of things and people on this app aren't very good for mental health.
I will still occasionally be active, and I won't be going away
Using radar data, I have put together an area where tornadic damage is most likely from the tornado near Webberville MI.
White: Most likely area for tornado damage.
Yellow: Possible stronger damage .
Red: Largest area of discrepancy with exact location of damage.

@NWSElko
needs a serious raise. I don't think ive ever seen the NWS talk like this, but I absolutely love it. He'll. I didn't even know where Elko was, but they gained one more follower, lol.
I could wake up tomorrow with 1000 followers...
I never thought when I joined Twitter that I would even have 150, let alone 995 awesome people following me! Thank you all!
What's the scariest radar image you have of a storm you were chasing?
Mine is from the Colon Shearwood MI EF2 back on May 7th of this year.
This was just after it went TOR-E.
Weather “teams” consisting of 13-17 year olds should not be a thing, and should not be making their own weather maps and giving information to the public.
Starting this Friday, I'll be doing weather forecasts on Mondays and Fridays to my entire high school over the announcements!
I'm super excited to start this as I continue to progress into I full-on future meteorologist/full time storm chaser!

The resemblance of the Henryville Indiana tornado from 2012 and the Old Kingston Tornado from January of this year, is extremely uncanny.
Left: Henryville
Right: Old Kingston

to reattach this piece Linex so this doesn’t snowball into a BIG problem
Does anyone have any idea on what this is? This was taken around the Reese Michigan area last night. It doesn't directly line up with any rotation which makes me think it could be scud, but it also looks like a wall cloud above it. This is my only shot of it as it was heavily
