Braves sweep the Giants in San Francisco for the first time since 2011. Jonny Venters earned the save in the final game of both sweeps.....7 years apart.
Less than 24 hours ago Vaughn Grissom was in the lineup for a game in Sevier County, Tennessee. Right now he’s doing drills with Wash at Fenway Park. What a difference a day can make.
Tonight’s game features the oldest player in the big leagues: Albert Pujols (42), and the youngest player in the big leagues: Michael Harris (21).
Michael Harris was 26 days old when Albert Pujols made his major league debut in 2001.
*Standing by the cage*
Me: when you were called up, was any of your stuff there for the first game?
Grissom: my bats weren’t…
Me: so who’s bat did you use on your homer?
Riley (overhears and speaks up): MINE! And then you’ll notice I only had like 1 hit for the next 2 days!
This is close to the angle we had in the booth that night. All I could think was “how is a human being capable of doing that?!” Looked like it was blasted out of a cannon.
What do we have, maybe 90 days until your WORLD CHAMPION ATLANTA BRAVES are on the field for Opening Day?! It’s coming soon. Happy New Year, y’all. Talk to you soon.
You can actually. You’ve gotta know when the crowd can paint the picture better than you can. It was an awesome game with a dramatic ending, and the crowd’s reaction added much more to the moment than I could.
Looking forward to tonight. Two very good teams! Should be fun.
The total number of great stories, memories and unforgettable moments I had with Don Sutton range far into the thousands. I can’t even begin to express how much I will miss him. I love you, Don. Thank you for being so incredibly special to all of us.
Here's the clip of Kevin Brown's pregame comments on the Orioles' recent record against the Rays ahead of a series finale on July 23. Sources tell AA these comments led to Brown's current indefinite suspension from Orioles' broadcasts.
If you get the opportunity, congratulate
@wileyballard_
as he’ll be making his major league debut on

tonight. He’s filling in all weekend with Joe and richly deserves this opportunity. Congrats Wiley, have fun!
The last time I was in a parade, I was a 6th grader playing trombone in the Madison, MS Christmas parade.
Today is going to be WAY better.
See y’all in a few hours.
My family has been to Ukraine on mission trips in the past. My dad has been in contact with his friend Victor there. This is the update we received over night. I can’t imagine how tough this must be. Asking for prayer for Victor’s family and the people of Ukraine. Thank you! 🙏🏼
A titan like none other in the history of the industry, but an even greater man. Prayers for his family and those close to him. What an amazing life he led. A legend in the truest sense of the word. 🙏🏼
“I’m throwing a surprise birthday party for myself. I invite everyone I want and then it’s a surprise to see who shows up.”
-Don (every year lol)
I miss him very much.

Love your videos so much Cass. So touched by this video. You’re the very best Braves fan there is, and I’m so glad we could all share these moments together. Keep up the amazing work! Braves Country loves you!
Braves have been in first place for 43 of the last 45 days. Today is the first time they’ve had a lead larger than 1.5 games. They’re up 2.5 after today’s action.

Can’t wait to see Kyle Muller’s glove today. He told me it’s a softball glove that he recently bought from a Dick’s Sporting Goods. Only glove he could find that would fit over his hand wrap.
Man, he was awesome. He told some GREAT stories. Could make everybody in the room laugh. Terrific ballplayer and a really fun man to be around. He’ll definitely be missed. Sad day for Braves Country and for baseball.
26 years later and still one of the coolest things I’ve ever witnessed. Was 13 years old and sitting with my family about 50 rows back of the plate. That was a fun day,
