#AskingAutistics Anyone have family member who doesn’t accept their dx? My dad doesn’t (haven’t told him details of it & my parents divorced long ago)but he’s obvious carrier of gene. He taught college at 18 & his mom memorized books & recited them. My half bro is also autistic

Representing yourself as someone with a neurological disability without a dx is fucked up, fullstop. #Selfdx is wrong & world is catching on, go read some news articles about it. No reasonable ppl think impersonating a disability without proof is acceptable. #actuallyautistic

@LuminaryObscrty @autisticb4mmr @MissPlaced14 @frogautistic It’s frightening & alarming how many ppl respond to these tweets raging about how they were “denied a diagnosis.” And still they go around on social media (and in real life. I have met ppl like this) claiming they are #ActuallyAutistic & speaking on our behalf. Unacceptable.
