@laceynwilliams Wow. I can't even. If my daughter wanted to be "Princess Programmer" I'd buy her a monogrammed letter jack with that on it, in addition to a sweet chair for her computer and I'd tell her coding is fun, cause while it is serious... it IS and CAN be fun! I hope my kid is like her!

I’m going home this afternoon!! I still can’t believe it. It’s a miracle honestly. Because of my two previous transplants and blood transfusions I am very hard to match. The fact that a kidney came in that matched me…I still can’t wrap my head around it. Thank you everyone !!💌

Today's productivity will take a hit, as I have discovered a way to play the MS-DOS classic "Scorched Earth" on line. This gem of a game infected all the PCs in my high school computer lab in the mid 90s, as we all loaded it on them and play it when they teachers weren't looking.

So my ex and the kids came over for dinner tonight! My ex is a nurse by trade, so she helped me changed the dressing on my incision - which looks absolutely amazing, honestly, the surgeon who did my kidney transplant did an amazing job. It's clean, looks good, and now redressed!!

I can’t have visitors in the hospital because of Covid, but my buddy Tim found out where my room was and went out on the street and held this big sign up for me to see. This absolutely made my day. He’s a professional comedian but he’s been making me laugh for 30 years!

I am home now, and if I'm being honest, I feel 100x better than I have in weeks. It's amazing how terrible you feel when you're deathly anemic. Thanks for all the support during my hospital stay, and for always. I'm gonna get back to making games and talking about fun stuff.

Meeting with the Transplant Clinic earlier today - everything looks like it's doing really well so far! I still have a surgical drain in, but they took out the catheter and BOY that's a relief. I'm feeling even more mildly human today!

Holy crap, I'm drinking so much water it's ridiculous. Fortunately, new kidney ("Sydney") appears to be working well, cause I am peeing up a storm and getting used to this routine again. Transplant clinic visit tomorrow morning. This is still wild.

This is my family. This is why I'm always at dialysis, no matter what. I don't miss treatments. I stay the four hours required for treatment every MWF. I'm surviving. This is why I'm waiting for a kidney transplant. As I endure this, they do too. #kidneyhealthinitiative

I only had a few payments left on my car; I got behind last year, cause - well, it was 2020. And my 2020 was pretty super crazy. Money was tight, but I was able to make the last payment today... and I now own my car free and clear. This is a big deal to me!

I’m nervous because based on prelim data I was a match, but hat was from blood work in July. I had blood transfusions which sensitize you even more and I dunno if the data was from before or after that. Let’s hope I still match. I need a win here 2020 has been rough.
