Volunteer firefighters, EMTs and paramedics of

responded to a vehicle fire in Deer Creek Canyon this evening. The fire had spread into the surrounding brush with rapid growth. Firefighters knocked down both the car and brush fires quickly, preventing spread up the hill.
Very, very, very light snow now falling in the area of the
#westranchfire
. Not much moisture but we will take anything we can get. Winds slowing, humidity increasing, and temperatures dropping (brrrrr) will help firefighters.

. A very chilly morning as operations start. Crews will work on containment and fuels within the perimeter of the fire. Safety is primary focus.

Romeo locked himself into the family minivan. He was warm, happy and very interested in the

firefighters working to get him out. Firefighters opened the door and reunited Romeo with his family.
