The first videos of a severe storm that struck Sioux Falls overnight are in. A confirmed tornado has been reported. Sioux Falls Police have asked people not to travel. You can see trees being pushed over at Highway 11 and 26th St in this clip. -Video by Zoety04
Monday's complex of storms is called a derecho. A derecho brings a swath of particularly damaging thunderstorm winds over an area at least 400 miles long and 60 miles wide.

UPDATE: The Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk for Tuesday afternoon east of I-35 to primarily south of I-80. This is due to a high damaging wind threat with gusts over 75-mph, but tornadoes (some strong) are also possible within this area too.

Looking ahead to the start of February, there is a high probability of above normal temperatures. Normal temperatures for this time of year are in the 30s. Temperatures will likely be 10 to 15 degrees above this putting highs in the 40s to possibly low 50s.
