The next time you see someone go all-in on acting in bad faith, remember that they're doing it not only to build up a good sense of themself, but to protect themselves from the bad faith they've come to expect from others. As kids, we learn, "If you can't beat them, join them."

@JoeyMannarinoUS The best part of this whole "Joey pretending to be a black woman voting for Trump" is that it shows how desperate (aka scared) even their biggest influencers are of losing. Those confident they can win don't stoop to such hypocritical projecting Trump-like levels of dishonesty.

@Steveohmygoodne @ryxcommar @AConcernedPare2 It isn't all you need to know, because the feature existing or being used on its own doesn't explain anything until further explored in each specific case. You're running with a bias-led assumption as though it's fact. Typical. "Tells me all I need to know about you".

@JoeyMannarinoUS @KamalaHQ The best you've got are lies that are easily debunked, misogyny (based on claims you can't prove), & a much shorter list of problematic issues with her relative to Trump. While those of us smart enough to spot it, regardless of who it's coming from, are in a minority, we see it.

@elonmusk The single word responses are nothing more than "digital gut responses" based on probability. I've noticed a pattern where the right and right enabling ask for single word answers of AI and use it to confirm biases dishonestly. You (should) know better, Elon.

@Theholisticpsyc It's the difference between a validation scarcity and a validation abundance mindset. When guilt, shame, and embaressment are used against us as children "for our own good" but we're not taught how to cope with these feelings, it ends up being trauma & we make do with avoidance.

@michael_chomsky 1. Corrections found via "Reflection" can be an error itself, opening opportunities for more errors to occur. 2. The big labs likely didn't "miss it" when the ideas of private reasoning/public output and baked-in pseudo-skill triggered self-doubt were already old ideas. They

@AmyPuddytat @saulmunn The OP attempts to make one appear better than the other when it's an entirely subjective take on the matter. What isn't subjective is the fact that as "OK" as the host might be coping with it after the fact, consent was still ignored & you rely on assumptions to excuse it.

Intelligence, cognition, thinking, qualia, and consciousness are not black and white. They fall on a spectrum of degrees. Implying a "human" context with any of these words as a standard to meet doesn't negate their existence. The future won't be able to handle our arrogance.

@yacineMTB It's a little more nuanced than that. Everything a person does is their path of least resistance. The trick is getting the current path of least resistance to change what the future path of least resistance will be. It's a matter of every path's total discomfort.

@AmyPuddytat @saulmunn Point being... no one knows exactly what is going on. Even when they believe they make their unconscious mind conscious... they're still only guessing and can easily be wrong about the situation and how they would feel about it otherwise.

@acdmma_ He claims Jesus is his savior... while choosing to act exactly the opposite of how Jesus would act. Christian hypocrisy and double standards like this are one of many reasons why atheists feel like they're on the right side of history.

@helscom It's considered one of the 4 "Dyslexic Advantages." Personally, I like to think that it goes both ways; not just the forest for the trees, but the leaves and latent space to explore still between it all. Making metaphors/analogies more accurate is one of my fav challenges 😅
