As MLA for Kelvington- Wadena, I strongly support my many family members and all who work in healthcare. It is a challenging time and I have done my part by getting vaccinated, wearing a mask where required, monitoring contact, hand washing regularly and encouraging others.
We had to do something very difficult a couple days ago. We asked our kids not to travel, not to come home for Easter. It's heartbreaking but its the right thing to do. Please have everyone in your family be safe by staying home. No cabin, no roadtrip, virtual easter services.
Small steps but an indication of a strong Saskatchewan recovery underway. We need to keep the
@SaskParty
fight against the Trudeau Carbon tax front and centre. Recovery is fragile and standing strong matters
Confirmation that the tough choices made by our government will continue to pay long term dividends in lower borrowing costs. Thanks in large part to the tremendous support and ingenuity of the people and businesses of Saskatchewan
Moody’s has just confirmed Saskatchewan has the highest possible credit rating from
@MoodysInvSvc
: Aaa.
And we remain on track with our 3-year plan to balance the budget.
I want to congratulate the following communities in the Kelvington-Wadena Constituency on receiving the Community Rink Affordability Grant. They will receive $2,500 per ice surface to help fund operating costs and/or minor capital upgrades. Thank you
@SaskParksandRec
and
@SKGov
.
It's a difficult time in the east central region with weather conditions hampering harvest. There is no shame in reaching out. We care about you and your family.
Congratulations
@Kaitlynkitzan
and the new executive team. I look forward to an exciting year ahead working with you and the
@SaskParty
youth to keep Saskatchewan strong well into the future.
It’s official! I’m the Saskatchewan Party Youth President. 💚💚💚
Looking forward to working with the executive to engage youth members from across the province this coming year.

Every morning that we have the honour to walk up these steps on behalf of our constituents, we are reminded of the vision of the people of Saskatchewan who want us to be good stewards of the economy, the land and the services they value. Have a great day!
A tragic loss of a friend, colleague, devoted family member of our Caucus. Our lives will all be better for having known and worked with him. Always the calm and reasoned fellow, big heart and dedicated advocate for his constituents. He will be missed
Yesterday the Saskatchewan Legislature suspended routine proceedings to allow a motion of condolence for the families and communities impacted by the tragic bus accident. Very emotional day as we all relate because we live the Saskatchewan story. We are

Honoured to present the Premier’s Service Club Award to the great volunteers of the Kelvington Lionelles tonight. I was reminded of the words from the Bronco’s dressing room wall “Always give more than you take.” This great group live those words.
Honoured to bring Greeting to Foam Lake Grad 2018. Impressive group that has clearly had excellent teachers and mentors. Wish them well as they enter their chosen careers
We have been introducing new ideas & initiatives for Saskatchewan people this fall session like bringing in Uber, protecting school choice for parents & property tax deferral for low-income seniors
New Democrats are simply opposing all of these new ideas.
Same old NDP.
Encourage everyone across the province to do their part to conserve energy as
@SaskPower
deals with a major issue affecting large parts of the province. While it's a photographers dream, hoarfrost is a challenge in the energy industry. Be safe and look after each other for now.
Honoured to bring greetings on behalf of
@SKGov
and
@SaskTel
to the 2A provincial volleyball tournament at
@FoamLakeComp
. Great job by organizers, volunteers and sponsors. It will be a great weekend of sport and fellowship
Two years ago today, the constituents of Kelvington-Wadena gave me the great honour of representing them in the Saskatchewan Legislature. They have given me good advice, guidance, feedback and counsel and I appreciate this opportunity to serve
Continuiing to build out connectivity for rural Saskatchewan. It's about better agriculture, better business, better safety and security , better healthcare and a better Saskatchewan. Proud to be part of the process to make this happen.
Today we announced more progress on our Wireless Saskatchewan initiative to bring better coverage across Saskatchewan.
New small site solutions will work to improve the wireless experience of 91 rural communities.

Congratulations to
@HughNerlien
for becoming our nominated candidate for the 2020 provincial election for the constituency of Kelvington-Wadena.

Inspired by the late Kevin Phillips, MLAs tried on red heels this week ahead of "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes", an annual challenge put on by North East Outreach & Support Services which hopes to end sexual assault and gendered violence.
They will walk a mile on May 28th in Tisdale.
It just isn’t funny. Canadians can’t afford more carbon taxes from Justin Trudeau and his NDP allies. We need a policy that encourages environmental change from the world’s top polluters, not a policy that hurts everyday Canadians.
Looking forward to a huge turnout to support our industry. Trusting my friends across the Kelvington-Wadena constiuency will make the trip to Moosomin on the 16th as a show of support. O&G helps pay for healthcare, education, social safety nets, highways. We care!
Looking forward to partnering with Moosomin Economic Development on a rally for February 16. confirmed speakers include

Great visit with Bev and Gail at the Pickled Pumpkin cafe in Kuroki. Homemade bread, pies, pickles and lots more. Great lunch and shopping stop. Well done ladies !
The government has moved on a variety of concerns raised by the teachers’ union.
They asked for workplace safety enhancements. We have offered that.
Teachers and students should be in classroom.
@CSGMidwest
Representative David Munson and I put forward a Resolution on expanding Canada USA border hours to improve trade, tourism and cross border shopping
A great briefing on Saskatchewan oil and our role in the marketplace. Stand with us
@SaskParty
and with
@PremierScottMoe
as we tell this story to Ottawa and Washington. P.s. the narrator is a pretty good guy too!
And of course this will be the first "tax" ever that has zero administration cost because the Feds promise to return 100% of the money and I have a piece of lakefront property for sale in South Carolina ....
Another example of the hypocrisy of the carbon tax discussion. The most environmentally sound and safest method of moving oil products is by pipeline. The economic benefits to the nation are well known. Tradespeople and professionals from across the nation benefit.
So Trudeau govt plans to withhold $62M in green infrastructure funding from SK b/c we refuse to impose job-killing carbon tax.
But they just gave $4.1B for infrastructure funding to BC whose NDP govt blocks
@TransMtn
construction
Is PM actually serious about getting this built?
We know how important Saskatchewan children’s education is.
The teachers’ union has requested a number of items that we have agreed to.
Unfortunately, they've only been at the bargaining table for 30 minutes, and have refused over 24 invitations to return to the bargaining table.
Congratulations to these outstanding leaders. I look forward to working with each of them for the constituents of Kelvington-Wadena. Best wishes for Lyle in his fight with Cancer. He's a tough guy and I expect Ottenbreit will be passing on his best Chuck Norris-isms
Today we made some changes to our cabinet with mixed emotions, as we continue to support our friend Lyle Stewart as he battles cancer.
Congrats to Lori Carr as she becomes Min Highways,
@David_Marit
as Min of Ag, &
@GordWyant
as he takes on SaskBuilds.
Mentor, friend, colleague and one of the easiest people I've ever met to just sit with and enjoy good food and good conversation. We'll miss your visits to the back row!
Honoured to be part of SK MLA delegation at 56th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Canadian regional conference in Ottawa this week. Important discussions on inter-parliamentary relations/trade, diplomatic challenges, women in politics, and role of social media.

Thanks Brad. It has been an honour to be part of your Saskatchewan vision and to serve in our government with you. You have left this place better than you found it. Kelvington-Wadena constituents appreciate your service to the province.
Statistics Canada specifically identifies the removal of the federal carbon tax on natural gas as having a significant impact. This provides a clear example of what the federal government should do to drive down the cost of living for Canadian families.
Congratulations to our governments legal team on putting forward an articulate position clearly differentiating the legal position on federalism powers separate from the climate discussion.
@PremierScottMoe
speaks to Prairie Resilience as our Climate strategy
Looking forward to main street Melfort event Thursday night. Welcome all to come out and cheer on a dozen
@SaskParty
MLAs as we raise new dollars for
@NEOSS_news
in their important work in providing safe refuge for domestic violence victims
Thanks to a great group of
@SaskParty
MLAs for supporting
#walkamileinhershoes
to help end violence and sexual assault against women.
This year, we'll be thinking especially of our friend, the late Kevin Phillips, past Melfort MLA remembered as passionate advocate for this cause
Joined my colleagues on a fascinating tour
@SmartSeeder
and big thanks to
@colinrush_rush
. Amazing advances in digital seeder planter tech helping farms exceed sustainability goals well into the future
Saw this pic of me speaking at event in Foam Lake. Decided I better shed 20 lbs. Work in progress but worth it. Feels great. Doc is right. Eat less and exercise !
Last week, the SK NDP Leader flew to a meeting in Ottawa to plot election strategy to get the Trudeau-NDP government re-elected.
The NDP is Trudeau’s choice for Saskatchewan.
This is confirmation of the strength of the Saskatchewan economy and affirms the decisions that were made in the recent provincial budget. While the volatile world economy provides challenges,
I started to read the draft federal Liberal carbon tax bill and quickly realized that thousands of tax administrators will be between
@SaskParty
Members and their hard earned money if this were to ever come to pass. We need the strong leader and team
@ScottMoeSK
now!
Very good evening with
@SaskAgSafety
and
@CoachLouanne
in Porcupine Plain last night. Small but involved group learning about farm safety and personal growth. Big thanks to LouAnne and Bonita
The removal of the federal carbon tax from SaskEnergy bills, effective Jan. 1, 2024, will save the average Saskatchewan family approximately $400 in 2024.
Saskatchewan will continue to press the federal government to remove the Trudeau-NDP carbon tax on everything for everyone.
@ScottMoeSK
has the strongest position on fighting the federal carbon tax, he has a fully funded plan for balanced budgets, he will re-introduce the PST exemption on health, life and crop insurance, he will revisit the provinces landfill concerns and lead a strong team forward
Proud to serve as Legislative Secretary to the Minister on this important file for rural Saskatchewan. More coming but an excellent piece of our commitment being met. Also want to commend the various private players in the market working on connectivity
Thanks @
@ScottMoeSK
for visiting Porcupine Plain and Rose Valley with your vision for Saskatchewan as
@SaskParty
leader. To vote, you must be a member on Dec 8 so last call for memberships online at standwithscott.ca
Thanks
@JeffProsko
for a couple hours combine conversation on farm technology, science, farm stewardship, drainage, land management, economics and more. Bonus was a combine supper with the whole family and crew.
The government has moved on a variety of concerns raised by the teachers’ union.
They asked for the same salary formula as MLAs. We have offered that.
Teachers and students should be in classroom.
The teachers’ union should be at the bargaining table.
Tremendous day at the
@SaskPolytech
Think conference. Great speakers including
@ambermac
, Linda Nazareth,
@jselingo
and Andrew Schrumm. The future of work, learning and innovation theme. Challenging our traditional institutions to exponential change.
To quote Andy Rooney, "Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.”
@SaskParty
members understand that building a business and building a province are exciting challenges and opportunities. Thx Sk entrepreneurs
