After just finishing film school, two students wanted to make a film but could only afford one room. They challenged themselves to make a film that only occurred in one room. From that idea grew a movie they would release as "Saw".

Paranormal Activity The first film was so successful at spooking Steven Spielberg so badly, he had to finish it in the morning. The authenticity of the actors comes from the fact that the movie didn't have a script; actors were given general directions and ad-libbed their lines.
