Minnie McNeal Kenny was one of the first African Americans to work in Arlington Hall’s Operations Division. She served as the Deputy Commandant at #NSA 's National Cryptologic School and was a lifelong advocate for women & minorities in codebreaking.

One group of female codebreakers worked in almost complete anonymity—African Americans. As with the rest of the military, codebreakers were racially segregated. These women examined commercial codes to see if companies were working with the enemy.
