OTD April 6, 2013. "Someone's gonna have to step up" as Cards trail Wichita State by 12 w/13:36 to play at Final Four in Georgia Dome. Seldom-used guard Tim Henderson hits back-to-back 3s in :42 sec span & Cards rally to win 72-68. Louisville to meet Michigan for national title.

OTD March 16, 2013. Thanks for the Big East Memories. Trailing Syracuse 45-29 w/15:50 to play, freshman Montrezl Harrell leads Cards on AMAZING 49-11 run as Louisville wins 78-61 & earns back-to-back Big East Tournament titles. Cards go onto to win '13 national title.

OTD April 8, 2013. Hall of Fame Morning & Night. Rick Pitino gets HoF nod in a.m. then before record 74,326 at Georgia Dome, becomes 1st coach to win nat'l title at 2 schools in p.m. Luke Hancock hits 4 straight 3s in 2 mins, leads Cards back from 12 down to beat Michigan 82-76.

OTD Dec. 28, 2013. Before 51,098 at Citrus Bowl Stadium, Charlie Strong turns Cards loose, crush Miami 36-9 in Russell Athletic Bowl. Teddy Bridgewater 34-45 for 447 yds, 3 TDs. Cards roster features 38 Floridians. Unknown at time, its U of L finale for both Strong & Bridgewater.

OTD Nov. 22, 2014. Size Matters. Largest crowd ever to see Louisville win as 80,795 witness Cards 31, Notre Dame 28 in South Bend. QB Reggie Bonnafon 2 rushing TDs + 21 yard TD pass to DeVante Parker. Brandon Radcliff 136 yards on 17 carries, 1 TD. Cards now 8-3.

OTD March 26, 2005. Cards Pittsnogle West Virginia. Trailing by 20 points & w/West Virginia hitting 18 of 24 3-pointers in regulation, Cards rally to win 93-85 in OT to win Albuquerque Regional. Cards first Final 4 trip in 19 years. Rick Pitino first to take 3 teams to Final 4.

OTD Oct. 9, 2010. First year Cards coach Charlie Strong deems Bilal Powell "Face" of program. Powell rushes for 204 yards, 2 TDs as Cards pound Memphis 56-0. Six days later, adds another 209 yards rushing v. Cincy. His 1,405 yards rushing in '10 2nd best at time for any Cards RB.

OTD Dec. 27, 2003. "My Best Win Ever" says Louisville coach Rick Pitino after #20 Louisville rallies from 14 pts down to win 65-56 over #1 UK before 24,328 at Rupp Arena. It's Pitino's second straight win over his previous collegiate stop. Otis George game-high 13 pts off bench.

OTD Dec. 30, 1990. Fiesta Bowl Special. Six years after taking over moribund Louisville football, Howard Schnellenberger is 2 days away from facing Alabama in Fiesta Bowl. At time, Crimson Tide had been in 42 bowls, won 12 nat'l titles. Howard "We think we matchup pretty good."
