I'll never understand why Yugioh players are so against generic cards being good. Being able to bridge multiple archetypes together is, to me, the most interesting part of deck building. Being only able to summon an in-archtype boss and never anything else is sooo fucking boring!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the only people who are against Yugioh being cheaper and more accessible are those who stand to financially lose from it. Anyone who supports cards being as expensive as they are right now are cares about their wallet, not the game.

HOT TAKE: Runick Fountain to 1 was an absolutely AWFUL hit in that it was totally unnecessary. Runick is an upper Rouge deck that sees relatively little play. I find Runick boring myself, but there's no reason to kill it. NOTE: "I hate Runick" is not a reason to limit this card.

Not only are these all great hits, but I think the resulting meta will be very diverse. This list brings down the Tier 1 decks enough where they become barely more powerful than lower tier stuff. I think SE will still be Tier 1, possibly upper tier 2 at worst.

@MBTYuGiOh Someone showed me this interaction in a replay recently. Yosenju don't need their Extra Deck and you can use Channeling to set up your Pendulum Scale from your deck meaning the deck can now actually do it's "Pend Summon big dudes" strategy fairly easily.

I think the best way to improve at Yugioh is to improve your mindset. Adapt a mentality where you're taking responsibility for all of your games. Don't focus on things that are beyond your control. Think only about what the best play is given the current situation.

The way Master Duel handles the WCS Qualifiers is a TOTAL JOKE. Can we please just qualify via tournaments like the other major formats? No one wants to play for 72 hours straight, as evident by the account sharing that happens and the general complaints from the community.

Baronne and Borreload are absolutely terrible choices for bans. The solution was to make archetype synchro monsters stronger, not ban the good ones. Now synchro summoning just feels worse. I'm willing to say that, even with Maxx C legal, MD's ban list is just better than TCG's.

Research into Salamangreat so far has been... Interesting. There's a helper in the MDM channel for Salads that insists Lady Debug is better than Salamangreat of Fire because it doesn't lock you which makes sense. But every tournament topping build I've found so far is on SoF.

@MBTYuGiOh Actual literal prime example of why I'll never play the TCG again. Some people dog on me for only playing Master Duel, but at least I don't have to pay thousands of dollars and sit in a smelly convention hall to have a competitive Yugioh experience.

They Yugioh community has this awful "crabs in a bucket" problem where everyone is far more interested in trying to tear others down to make themselves feel superior. When people get shitty it's a conscious choice they make. Being kind is free and lifting each other up is easy.

@AustinD513 I said most players in the Duelist Cup specifically concede to stun due to time constraints regarding that event. If you're on regular ladder conceding every time you see a Runick card you're just tanking your own rank for no reason.

It's really sad that the discussion about recent major TCG events is centralized on arguing over which deck is more toxic. It's a prime example of why Yugioh discussions are so awful. Most players are determined to be miserable and only interested in quantifying their misery.

I see a lot of people unironically telling others "You should just concede if you lose the coin flip and open no hand traps, it's not worth playing the duel out." Not only should you not listen to this, you should not take any amount of Yugioh advice from people saying this.
