Largest stone ever carved by human hands, found in a limestone quarry in Baalbek, weighing up to 1,240 tons. Most likely intended for use in the nearby temple dedicated to Jupiter, but never found its way out of the quarry, probably because it was too massive to transport.

Ain Warka Maronite convent in Ghosta was inaugurated by Patriarch Estephan Doueihy on the 14th of September 1798 then transformed into a school in 1889. Patriarchs Youssef Hobaish, Youssef El-Khazen, Boulos Massad and Youhana El-Hajj all graduated from this school.
