Last Wednesday the cholera vaccins finally arrived in central Mozambique. Vaccination started immediately. Over 30,000 persons were vaccinated on the first day.

Over 2500 cases of acute watery diarrhea and 138 cases of cholera were reported in the affected area. This number changes quickly. Cholera can be fatal in 4-5 hours, stressing the importance of preventing (clean water) and combatting this disease.
