Implementing a mask mandate would cost the piece of paper the health order was signed on (ppl would bear the cost of purchase- we could support the financially disadvantaged). The cost of doing nothing is HUGE & reflected in hospitalisations, deaths & long COVID. Mask up people!

My daughter’s bestie has been admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia. Previously fit and well 14yo. FOUR.TEEN.YEAR.OLD. She’s scared. Her parents are terrified. Yep- forced infection policy was definitely a good idea. I’m beyond upset and angry. Shouldn’t be happening 💔😢😡

Stressed mum 3 kids under 5 & balancing baby on her hip at self serve checkout crying cause she needed another $1.70 to make her total. I handed her a $2 coin & took the baby so she could finish off & wrangle the other kids. She sobbed saying 1st time in ages she felt kindness💔

They sit on the railing of my deck at 3pm without fail every day and announce their arrival loudly in order to get their dinner. I scatter a seed and fruit mix for them and they eat every last bit. A couple of them have become so tame they fly up and eat directly from my hand ❤️

Kids asked if I had watched someone die at work. Yes.1...10...more than 100? Yes. Master 11 asked “Mum, how did you keep doing it?”. I explained that I became a nurse to help people, and that is when help is needed most. You find a way. “Mum I love you so much” was the response❤️

Sadly, messaging on N95s is still poor. While many get the importance of better filtering, few understand that mask fit is critical. Dual head straps are key to good fit, & necessary to keep an airborne virus out. Ear loops on non-N95 masks just don't do the job well enough.

@NjbBari3 I’ve had the stroke. Not nice. And to boot- the I’ll informed neurology team treating me did not recognise long COVID as a risk factor. Even though o had no others… 🤯🤯🤯

@MarieCalais2 @KoparaFallsKid I love the pretty pink too. My daughter knows my risk factors and after spending half of the last six months in hospital, my daughter is grateful that masks allow me to got to her game when I’m home. She even wears them to school to protect herself and me

Hubby and I got macchiatos at Starbucks drive thru this morning. We were told by the barista that the person in the car in front had paid for our coffee and hoped we had a nice day. We paid it forward to the car behind. These are the little things that make people smile 😀

Little Miss gorgeous got her parents up at 3.30am and was showing no signs of going back to sleep. So I trotted over made pasta bake so mum & dad don’t have to cook the night before the baptism, had a good chat to my goddaughter and rocked her to sleep. Cheeky girl 🥰🥰🥰
