It's been a crazy season for the first year of competitive Street Fighter 6. And Capcom have given me the opportunity to call the action at Capcom Cup X later this month!
I've spent lots of time preparing and I should be ready for the finals. See you guys there! ๐๐
Next up taking the spotlight is
@HdJammerz
!
From being behind the table at
#SFLEU2023
to hosting SETS, we all know and love him. We're so excited to have you back for
#CAPCOMCUPX
!
See you in Hollywood!
The amount of players on SF6 who just one and done online is hilarious ๐๐
Why grind online if that's all you're going to do? There should be some special title if you do it more than 20 times or something.
So I turned 25 today and woke up to this. Last year my mum made a qanba obsidian cake, but this time round she made a victrix FS cake. Don't really want to cut this lol
#HDMommerz
Why did you do this to him
@holyknee
๐๐
Poor guy man.
@HdJammerz
loved you hosting the event, keep rocking man!
Fantastic event!! Love the Tekken community! โฅ๏ธ
He spotted me in the crowd and we had a long chat about the FGC and just things in general.
Much love for the picture
@ThatMikeRossGuy
we definitely need to hang out in the future ๐๐
As you're training to become a World Warrior in
#SFVCE
, learn the terms too! Street talk like a pro in
#StreetFighter
Word on the Street Episode
#1
and get to know useful terms like blocking, dashing, throws and more.

And thats my commentary work done at Capcom Cup. Mistakes were made (which is natural) but relatively pleased with my work overall throughout the week!
Time to enjoy the rest of the event as a spectator ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐๐
Today I turned 30, a landmark birthday! ๐
Guess that means I'm in the 30s club now!
(If someone says to me 'you look 30, I have to agree! ๐๐๐)
LCQ, CCX Group Stages, SFL World Championships & CCX top 8.
It was an absolute blast/pleasure to commentate this intense week of SF6 action!
Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. Much love to
@CapcomFighters
once again for allowing me to be a part of this! ๐๐
Finally back home in London. Was a great to be at my first official Capcom Cup which was the last one for SFV.
Hope everyone enjoyed mine and the rest of the team's work at the finals.
Now to sleep with a smile on my face ๐ฌ๐ด๐ฌ๐ด๐ด
SFV has played a huge part in regards to where I am today. So it was great to get the call to be apart of the last Capcom Cup for the game!!
Guess I'll see you guys at the finals ๐๐๐
Next for the talent spotlight is
@HdJammerz
!
#SFLEUROPE
, Host of SETS, the resume speaks for itself and his contributions to the Street Fighter Community go well beyond! So glad you could join us for
#CCIX
!
See you in Hollywood โญ
Finally can announce that I will be heading to Las Vegas to talk some SFV at EVO this year!!
My first time attending an EVO so it will be great.
Guess I'll see you there ๐๐๐
Here are your commentators for
#Evo2022
!
We are excited to bring these voices of the community to Evo so that they can share their enthusiasm for the games we all love.
Letโs show our friends some support and get hype! Evo 2022 kicks off next Friday!
Had a great time at Redbull Golden Letters this weekend. Learned more about the tekken community and really enjoyed hosting.
Thanks for bringing me on board!!
@RedBullUK
@SpaghettiRip
So with Final Fantasy 7 remake releasing soon, my mum made me this cake for my 26th birthday. The Chocobo and Cactuar.
She didn't know what a chocobo was at first but she loves them now!
My mum always steps it up a notch each year!
Just over here with my digital balloons ๐๐๐
Going to chill and play RE4 Remake and eat some good food!
This will be the last year in my twenties because next year is a landmark birthday ๐ฌ๐ฌ
Had the pleasure of commentating all the European and the UK online CPTs these past couple months.
Tons of new talent as well as great matches all over!!
Once again congrats to all the qualifying players.
Time for me to rest up ๐ด๐ด๐ด๐๐
Kusanagi was telling me during top 96 how strong Ryu was this season. I said 'well you better show everyone'.
And boy did he do that and then some!!
Congrats to him for winning on home turf and securing his spot in the Capcom Cup XI ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
The Ultimate Fighting Arena calls for the Ultimate Street Fighter 6 Champion.
Congratulations to
@MaivineKusanagi
for being crowned the Street Fighter 6 winner here at
@UFA_Gaming
! We'll see you in Japan for
#CAPCOMCUP11
!
My work here at UFA 2024 is done. Always have a great time talking Street Fighter and seeing tons of people under one roof for fighting games. Time to enjoy the top 8!
Until the next one ๐ซก๐ซก๐ซก๐ซก
I cannot stress this enough.
This kid has a bright future ahead of him!
Unlucky not to get the dub this weekend but I really enjoyed commentating your matches ๐๐๐
Was an absolute pleasure to call the action alongside
@F_Word_FGC
over one of the CPT offline events this year. Truly a different experience (my first time at Paris Games Week as well).
Short break and then I need to continue studying the game and get better articulating things!
Last time I was at EVO was in 2022. Pleased to say that I will be in Las Vegas this weekend for EVO 2024!
Looking forward to exploring the new venue and talking some SF6. See you guys there or on stream ๐๐๐๐
This has been a long time coming ๐๐
Many people have asked so its finally happening!
I basically have a podcast now where I talk about one of my passions in life! Its going to be fun ๐๐๐๐๐
There are no shortcuts to being great at fighting games. You will have to invest a lot of time into perfecting techniques. Learn things at your own pace!
Chat: "Did you train deliberately like this for Menat too?"
Sako: "Of course. I did this for around 3 months. 8 hours everyday for 3 months. After I felt like I've learned enough patterns, that's when I started using her in real matches"
Couple of setbacks. But we managed to get to UGM!
Was at like 60K on my ps4 account then switched to PC and went from 0 to 100K.
Big thanks to Poison for carrying me the whole journey with no effort.
Now to sit in training mode for awhile ๐๐๐๐
Was an absolute treat to call the action on the LCQ these past two days. The matches were soo good!
Was sick to commentate the action with my guy
@Rynge_
as well!
Shoutouts to
@jchensor
and
@ultradavid
for their hard work for the LCQ.
Time to get ready for the finals now๐๐
Got a new bookshelf today, took awhile to build it properly and reorganize my manga collection. But this is how things are looking now. The third shelf will definitely get filled!!
Man like
@TheComboFiend
coming through to capcom Cup.
He said he enjoys my commentary style which was great to hear.
Hopefully see you in SF6 ๐๐๐๐
Some colloquial names for moves work really well whilst others don't. Having the ability to refer to moves formally and informally in a way viewers can understand is an art in and of itself.
Tbh some moves have some really cool names ๐คฃ๐
@HdJammerz
I was just having this conversation with another talent. You impressed me a lot with actually knowing the names of moves.
I feel that colloquially referring to every move as a fireball, or DP, or tatsu EVERYTIME is bland. Nice work this weekend ๐
Its been great being out here in Burbank California and being able to commentate the UK guys playing SFV!
I dont usually do UK CPTOs so I had a great time. Big thanks to both
@ultradavid
and
@Rynge_
for working with me on comms throughout the weekend!!
Finally home from Las Vegas. Had a really rough start when I landed on Thursday but ended on a high note Sunday evening. Now I can finally say I've worked at an EVO!!
Gotta get on working hard so I can come back next year๐๐๐
Never baked before, so I took my first attempt at making banana bread.
It was fun ๐
(Shoutouts to anyone that bakes on a regular basis because getting the right measurements can be annoying ๐ ๐)
These past few days were insane! And it's always a blast commentating with the homie
@Rynge_
Super appreciative for Capcom for flying me out to talk some SF6!
Time to rest up and prepare for the actual Capcom Cup!!
my brain is fried and i wouldnt have it any other way. thank you to the players for providing an amazing tournament. thank you to production and TOs for holding everything down. and thank you to
@HdJammerz
for being everything i could ask for in a co-pilot.
After my mum said the cake she made was mine. She then said, 'there's a parcel thats supposed to come through for me today, but what's inside is yours'. Turns out it was a new ps4 ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐๐
Work wise, 2022 has been a fantastic year. Kept my head down and improved at my craft once again which allowed me to do some pretty big jobs!
In 2023 the goal is to stay consistent and keep developing and look forward to what lies ahead!!
Been at hard at work here at Capcom Cup calling the action on the LCQ and Group stages.
Now time for a small break and prepare for Sunday's matches
๐๐๐๐๐๐
Problem X winning EVO 2018 for SFV
SonicFox winning EVO for DBFZ in its inaugural year
Mike ross looking well and seen playing guilty gear and placing well
Great character reveals for games across the board
...fuck me what a weekend!
2018 has been a pretty good year for me (middle of the year was kinda shitty) but I would say the highlight of my year was being able to commentate at Capcom cup and meet some of the US FGC. Totally unexpected but great!
I had a great time in Saudi Arabia last year for SF6. And now I've been invited back to talk some more SF6. Looking forward to working alongside these talented individuals and watching some top level action unfold.
See you guys next week! ๐๐๐
