This morning, in a FB group I’m in, a woman told us she is having a miscarriage. Her doctor prescribed misoprostol to help her complete the miscarriage. The doctor had to spend 30 minutes explaining to a Walgreens pharmacist that she wasn’t having an abortion. 🧵

Dear Universities who offer degrees with "computer" or (and I don't like saying it..) "cyber" in the name : Your students should know what dns is. You charged them $30k/year... And you didn't make them learn the thing that gives you Google. I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.

Change my mind: It is VERY difficult to go straight into infosec with no other experience directly out of college. Choose a field in tech, (development, infrastructure, "the cloud", whatever) and learn THAT + how to do it securely.

No, you don't need to go buy an extra laptop/phone just for DEFCON... Also, no you shouldn't carry a device full of corporate IP at DEFCON. Not mutually exclusive, and not specific to DEFCON.Just don't take shit you can't afford to lose anywhere you don't have to.

When you’re giving a presentation, hold the mic waaaaay closer to your mouth than you think you need to. You should be able to hear your voice amplified. If this feels weird, go do some karaoke until it feels less weird.

@klrgrz I love that you said Sec+ MATERIAL...the things you learn from the book are way more valuable than the cert itself IMO. I also suggest folks sign up as a CyberPatriot mentor. Don’t have to be an expert to read their content with the kids (and their questions will help you grow)

My phone has been acting weird lately... Screen turns off for no reason, running slow. Old phone ? Yes! Is that the reason? Maybe? I also just got a magnetic wedding ring.... And now I'm 99% sure I know what the issue is..
