THREAD: Harvard Interim President Garber’s administration claims that they haven’t met with the 1000s of students demanding divestment because they “hadn’t heard” from us before the encampment was established. Faculty found this claim laughable. We do too. Here are the receipts.

The day after Harvard Interm President Alan Garber released a email threatening suspension for any protestors involved with the encampment, administrators came by to identify students for disciplinary action. Within minutes, our crowd and chants drove them away.

The Harvard administration claims that student encampments are “coercive.” But it is Harvard who deals in coercion: it is Harvard who stonewalls students and responds only to issue threats. It is Harvard who forces students to fund genocide through their tuition.

Contextualizing his decision to withdraw as one motivated by the events of the past couple of weeks ("cynical" diplomatic arrangements for Israel to consolidate more power), Bhabha's statement is hardly short of normalizing the status-quo in occupied Palestine.

Citing several examples of the ISS doing the bare minimum such as publishing statements to support "human rights" for Palestinians, Bhabha goes on to describe his own work on the "Governance of the Unprepared" almost entirely tone-deaf.
