FT: Brentford 0 Chelsea 0. An entertaining and full-blooded stalemate with some outstanding defending on show. Kepa and Azpilicueta brilliant for #CFC . Raya and Pinnock outstanding for Brentford. Chelsea sharper after second-half subs but Brentford fully deserved a point.

@HLTCO What strikes me as odd about this is that referees obviously consider being sent to the monitor 'humiliating'. Not sure fans see it this way. Being sent to the monitor feels like VAR in action, not evidence of a referee's failure. It's troubling that officials don't agree.

@ESPNUK I think comparing them on goal stats isn’t going to tell you much. Salah is a ruthless goalscorer, Hazard is (or was, at least) a creative magician. What he did well was often unquantifiable, but man of the match award tallies are a decent window into a player’s effectiveness.

The debate around striking is too often boiled down to an over-simplistic binary, that either you ‘care’ about nurses or you don’t. It’s possible to want nurses to be better paid and to think that striking is a bad idea. Those notions aren’t mutually exclusive.
