Court expansion is not enough. We must attack the Court's legitimacy. Judicial review, or the idea that the Court decides the meaning of the Constitution, is a modern farce. It allows political leaders to avoid taking unpopular stances while letting the Court take the heat. 5/x

Every politician who accepts lobbyist/superpac $$$ should be implicated. We can't keep placing blame in silos. Gun deaths are tied to lack of healthcare deaths, to lack of abortion access deaths, to deaths of despair. The same system lets us die to further enrich the wealthy few.

The role of both parties, including their NLRB, is to stabilize capitalism. Socialists should encourage workers to organize while exposing the limitations of reforms, like the NLRB, to build class consciousness. Either be independent or be a Democrat. Can't have it both ways.

The 3 officers w/ Derek Chauvin need be brought to justice. When Floyd stopped breathing, they checked & couldn't find a pulse. They then did nothing for 114 seconds. No pulse & none of them even budged an inch for 114 seconds. Count it out. It's an eternity. #JusticeForFloyd

According to the charging document, an officer checked #GeorgeFloyd ’s pulse and said he couldn’t find one. Chauvin kept his knee on his neck for *another* 1:54. That’s an incredibly long time.

If the Democratic Party was serious about passing the sick day amendment in the Senate, they would have all shown up to vote on it. There's no justification for introducing the 7-day paid sick leave amendment. All you did was give cover to House members to vote for the TA.

We had a real shot at 60 Senate votes. Thanks to @BernieSanders lone efforts, 6 Republican Senators voted yes. But Manchin and 42 Rs chose to deny that workers have basic human rights. So in the end, Congress imposed a rejected contract against the will of some 60,000 workers.
