Tragic news from Montenegro this morning. At just 26, Matija Sarkic, goalkeeper for the national side and, at club level, Millwall (as well as Stoke, Villa, Livingston and others) has died. He fell ill in Budva and died shortly after. RIP Matija.

Obviously, much of the criticism of Croatia has been around the attack throughout. Come 2026, it’ll be Musa, Beljo, Simic and Biuk. With Gvardiol, Sutalo, Sosa and Stanisic as a backline. The midfield will need work but you’d be brave to think they’ll be a worse side in 2026.

I say this in full knowledge of, y’know, who I support - Livakovic would be stupid to join Celtic. Simply not a move up the food chain and he should either a) take the money from Saudi or b) hold out for a top 5 league.

Celtic are in the market for a goalkeeper this summer. It’s understood one target being monitored closely is Croatia & Dinamo Zagreb No1 Dominik Livakovic, who has a year left on his contract. Fiorentina’s interest has cooled recently. Villarreal & Fenerbahce are also keen.
