I think most people have realized this but in "given," the characters' names are 春樹 Haruki (Spring) 立夏 Ritsuka (Summer) 秋彦 Akihiko (Fall) 真冬 Mafuyu (Winter) The lyrics 春夏秋冬 (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) show up in the OP "Kizuato" #givenanime ＃ギヴン #given_anime

It seemed like another fun series and the comedy and wholesomeness from ep 1 seemed to be right up my alley. Back then, I had no way of knowing just how much Mob/Shigeo would end up meaning to me. Watching him grow up over the past 6 years has been so wonderful⬇️

Twitter seems to have eaten my post... but a reminder that “Bananya” just has 2 voice actors, Kaji Yuki and Murase Ayumu, doing all of the various cat noises (other than the narrator). So 2 grown men in a booth just meowing in various ways XD I would love to see that lol.

Yaotome Gaku is the perfect version of the stereotypical sexy “I’m a tough guy” character because when he’s not trying to be these things, he’s incredibly smooth and dashing. When he actually tries to be cool, he turns into the biggest disaster dork but is somehow adorable.

That scene in S2 ep 1 is still probably one of my favorites out of the whole entire series. Being able to watch such a precious boy grow truly meant the world to me. I feel very lucky to have worked on such a wonderful series so filled with humor, kindness, and heart⬇️

IDOLiSH7 overall does what we'd consider morals, lessons, and speeches really well. So many important things get said in the series and they usually don't feel cheesy or forced because they're said at the best moments and said so genuinely⬇️

It would've been so easy to just have TRIGGER and Re:vale be the cliche idol group rivals in IDOLiSH7. But instead, they decided to go a different route and make everyone in TRIGGER and Re:vale just as human as everyone in IDOLiSH7. Not only that, they're all wholesome lol ⬇️⬇️

I don't know if people realize how important Andrea Romano is. If you've watched any cartoons in the US in the 80s to the present, she's the reason a lot of the voice acting was so amazing in most of them. I recognized her name as a kid because she was credited in so many shows.

@FarmboyinJapan I had some bad luck on some trips back to Japan that required me to get a bunch of X-rays. First time it happened, I was terrified. 3 rays and checkup, no insurance... $75. Followup checkup, $10. On another trip, 6 xrays, checkup, new patient fee... $95.

My advice if you ever want to become a translator... -Be confident in your work, but know you're human and will probably make mistakes. If you make a mistake, fix it (if you can). If you can't fix it, learn from it. Try not to take any criticism personally.

Fun fact about Japanese: they do actually say "parentheses"(kakko) out loud sometimes, especially in anime. They especially like saying the phrase "kakko kari" (仮) which usually means a name of something hasn't been finalized yet. So if you see them in subs, that's usually why

I rewatched the part where both Sato Satomi and Bessho-san talk about the GakuTsumu scene from S3 and Bessho-san mentioned that it's probably one of the top 5 hardest scenes to get right from the game. A huge reason being in the game, we don't hear Tsumugi speak. (cont)
