Been working on a thing with my partners
@stuuudioco
and friends
@saintromanst
. And guess what? The site's live! Thanks
@brijanp
and
@AriBenoist
for all the love you put into this. Y'all can check it out. Feel free to drop us a note. We're nice people. ✨
Does being a quiet personality or being slow to speak really indicate I'm not "proactive" or not a "leader"? And yet I continually encounter this bias. It's a LOT of work to present as vocal and confident. The act is exhausting. I can do the job, I just do it differently.
My biological dad (a gifted sociopath) said I‘d never be as good or as smart as him. For nearly 20 years I was denied a proper education. Today? I’ve graduated, I live in SF, I’ve worked with both major companies and startups, and I founded a studio. Just grateful to be here. 💛
Recently quit Instagram and the short story is that I now spend zero time consuming others' stories or scrolling my feed for solace or inspiration. I'm happier! 😃 I compare myself less to others. I have extra time to BE creative—rather than nursing doubt or accommodating fear.
Eek—just deleted every Dribbble post on my personal account!! Taking the time while in quarantine to develop my brand, redesign my website, and post fresh content on Dribbble. This has been long overdue, haha. Excited to share new work with y'all! 🙏🏽
It's such a privilege to learn.
My father didn't believe that women deserved an education and that our place was in the kitchen "barefoot and pregnant." After a hard day's work of scrubbing floors, dishwashing, cooking, and homeschooling my brothers, he'd follow me with a key
Promised a PM I’d deliver on a number of interaction flows that no designer in their right mind should ever promise within the scope of an afternoon and yes I want to call it a day, but I’ve given my word and my word I must keep, lord help me
I'm having a DAY, the kind of day where I've broken down into tears a couple of times and then shortly afterwards took a few deep breaths and said, "f**k it, keep going." It's so easy to compare myself, my career—just everything, really—to that of my peers and feel exhaustion.
Contracting onsite at a big tech company and I just wanted to say— *please* acknowledge the women brewing coffee, wiping down tables, cleaning bathrooms and so much more. Say hi, say thank you. Be friendly and get to know them. Show that they’re not unseen and unappreciated. ❤️
I was the only woman on an all-male team during my first design role. The “HR manager” (of all people) made very unprofessional insinuations about wanting to see me in a bikini during a team offsite and have me “hang out” at their hotel room. /1
Don't create for likes. At times I've hated my work— "Not hip enough." I love capturing what's raw and candid. Right now that speaks to me. Create what speaks to you. Explore what sparks your passion and curiosity. To heck with trying to impress. Craft matters, but so does heart.
Well hey there! It's been a few months! 👋🖤 I'm still around, just got a haircut, finally have a regular gym habit, and I'm also still designing and building stuff. Probably should tweet more, too.
Just a lil’ thing, but I unexpectedly received praise during a product org meeting for leading a recently shipped project today. Nearly fell out of my chair since I’m not used to public shoutouts. Worked hard (including nights and weekends) to deliver. Felt so good to be seen! 😇
I risk sounding dramatic, haha, but really wish tech was an easier space to be for neurodiverse folks like myself. Not one to use this word lightly, but overcoming discrimination is exhausting work. Some days I want to walk out on this industry. Maybe start a band or something.
Working on your website (or portfolio) redesign?

Hey, y'all! ✨ Currently writing my first comprehensive guide to demystifying grid systems and would love to hear from new designers who have questions on everything and anything on this topic (respond to this tweet or email me at questions
@stuuudio

Couldn't be more excited for
@stuuudioco
's site to go live next week! It's so gratifying to see all our hard work come to life through this project. Here's another peek at
@AriBenoist
and
@brijanp
's amazing talent as we near the finish line! 🎉
Hi, friends! 😀 Looking for a senior freelance product designer who's a happy human, loves designing for mobile and is A+ at working independently. Must be based in the Bay Area or remote in the US. If interested, email for more details. I have an immediate project for ya!
Returned last night from a quiet week in Iceland and my heart is so full. ❤️🏔 After a grueling few months where 15-hour work days and weekends are typical, being mostly unplugged and having space to think and feel gently reminded me it's okay to value and prioritize happiness.
Lately life's been challenging, rewarding and full of new firsts! 💥
✅ Hired a career/life coach
✅ Hosting photography workshops in SF this summer
✅ Launching a podcast with
@victorerixon
✅ Studio rebrand & site launch this fall
✅ ...and more.
Today I celebrated another year of life in the exquisitely beautiful city of Florence. 🙏🏼💛 From exploring wonders like the Santa Maria Novella to indulging in a gluten-free croissant, this city has delighted me with so many firsts. Sending love from Italy!
Earlier this year I was told that my neurology gave the company "pause" about extending an offer for a senior role—even though I qualified on every other front. Frankly, it shot my confidence to bits. Neurodiversity requires no cure; we're just different.
Been quietly working on a few projects in my spare time that I'm super excited to share with the community this year, including creating a:
🛠 Comprehensive guide on grid systems
📸 Online photography course for Q4 launch
That's it, that's the tweet—I'm just excited! 🎉
Friends, I've been told a couple times this week that my obsession with spreadsheets is an anomaly as a designer, haha. But I love them. They bring me so much happiness. Do any of my designer pals share these feels?
Happy Monday, friends! ✨ Sharing some portraits taken by yours truly a few weeks ago. If you're interested in attending my natural light photography workshop in San Francisco this August, reply with all the 📸 emojis. Or just let me know you're interested. That works too, hehe.
Turns out what I thought was symptomatic of food poisoning is just hardcore anxiety, so feel free to send along your thoughts and prayers, haha. Could use them. 😇🙏🏽
I know my worth. I know what I’m capable of. And if there are any other women out there who feel and know the same, I’m here. Happy to connect and be a part of your community. This industry is not only tough, it can feel so isolating, too. So that’s it, I’ve said my piece. ✨/11
Someone on Instagram just shared their 2-hour morning self-care ritual complete with meditation and a vast array of lipsomal supplements—I'm just happy I put my hair in a bun and found a clean t-shirt; currently chugging caffeine and staring at half-eaten toast like a champ
Hi, friends! 😃 It's finally happening— so stoked to share that I'm teaching a Natural Light Photography workshop on September 1st. 📸 More details on the workshop coming soon when registration goes live. Share with your frands!
Hi, Twitter fam! Wanted to introduce you to one of my heroines, my sister Katrina. She had the courage to take control and leave a life of abuse. A few years later, I'd have the courage to do the same. She's fearless, a woman who owns her story, a story of hope. So proud. ✨
So many awesome plugins featured today! 😍👏🏼 Congrats to the team
@figmadesign
and to all the creators who participated. Definitely a few plugins that I can’t wait to integrate into my workflow!
Dear Twitter, today I turn another year older and I couldn't be more grateful for all the phenomenal humans who've given me the gift of their friendship and played a crucial role in helping me realize my dreams for the future. Honored to know y'all.
Love,
Greyson 💛
One of my intentions for 2019 is to STOP APOLOGIZING so much. I say sorry—a LOT, haha. Most of the time when I don't need to and when I'm not at fault. I'm challenging myself to stop unnecessarily handing power over through apologies. I'll still be a nice person though. ✨
Y'all. We've been hard at work crafting a fresh new look for the studio! Grateful to be collaborating with one of our fav creative duos,
@brijanp
and
@AriBenoist
, as they bring this site to life! ✨ Excited to share a sneak peek of the visual direction. More to come!
Happy Monday, y'all! ☕️ My interview with
@theloversmag
was published today—grateful to share a little about my career journey, what a typical day looks like, a peek at my nature-inspired workspace, and other thoughts and ramblings. Hope you enjoy! 🖤
It‘s been a ROUGH week. 🖤 Resurfacing from the chaos to share that amidst this pandemic, I’m losing a loved one to cancer. Caught a last-minute flight on Wednesday and this is my 3rd consecutive all-nighter anxiously guarding their hospice bed. Never been through this before.
Editing photos from
@Epicurrence
and missing so many of these rad and kind humans. Grateful we shared a few days out in Zion to truly connect and build friendships. Shout out to
@DannPetty
for helping to bring the community together! 🤘🏼📸
Didn't realize my career would mean sending so many emails. It takes me AGES to write anything, haha, and emails are especially...overwhelming. ✉️ 😅
That's it. That's my Monday complaint for y'all.
My dad asked me if I was busy in ‘Frisco, and I said yes.
Mom thought he meant Frisco, TX.
Dad quipped, “We call it ‘Frisco.”
And I didn’t have the heart to tell him that omg, we do NOT.
Ladies, I'd like to share something. I was told by toxic men in my life that I needed them to be successful. Love and support is one thing, control and manipulation another. I say this with genuine humility while proud of feeling badass: I proved them wrong. And so can you. ❤️
So grateful to be spending the next couple of days in Palm Springs with these ladies, capturing all these incredible moments.✨ Huge congrats to
@mialoira
for launching the first
@gowithinretreat
this year!
I feel like I'm not great at Twitter, haha, mostly 'cause I'm introverted and sincerely don't always know what to say, so here's some facts about yours truly:
👉🏼 I don't like avocados 🥑
👉🏼 Still haven't seen Stranger Things 👽
👉🏼 I stutter when I'm excited 🤷🏼♀️

After months of not being able to book shoots due to the pandemic, it was such bliss to do my first (and last) session of 2020 with the stunner that is
@SavvyKreykes
. Wardrobe, HMU, and creative direction were both a delightful and inspiring collaboration!
It’s true. I’m more productive and happy when doing good work in environments with this kinda view. So much yes to working remotely. 😍
Seen: mountain range in Amanda Park, WA and awesome friends floating in the lake.
Not seen: laptop, sunscreen and my very happy self. ⛰☀️
Happy Tuesday, y’all! ✨ I spent last week in the desert for
@gowithinco
’s beautiful fall retreat and yes, took a ton of photos, haha. Here’s a couple of my favs. So awesome to collaborate alongside
@teganmierle
, also one of my fav humans ever. 📸
Kicked off celebrating turning another year older with some of the very best humans I know.🖤 2022 is a special year because it's the year I'm prioritizing my health and happiness and BOY DO I FEEL THE DIFFERENCE. It's okay to love you a little extra. Set those boundaries, haha.
For the past few years
@jeremiahjw
and I’ve been collaborating on a project, documenting seasons of growth and change. It’s been a wild decade rebuilding a life—discovering family and friendship along the way. There’s always hope. Don’t quit. 🖤
One of the reasons I chose entrepreneurship is because I never had the opportunity for career advancement. When you're neurodivergent, it's a struggle to find support in the workplace and there's plenty of misunderstanding and discrimination. So I said eff it. Became my own boss.
Now THAT was hard. But I escaped that; (in a blizzard at 4AM). I graduated high school in my twenties on my own terms. I'm proud of that. And now I live in CA and run my own creative studio. Proud of that, too. I might be years behind my peers, but I've got grit. It'll be okay.🖤
If I’m not pushing pixels or managing projects, hand me a camera. Excited to share some of my favorite portraits of this kindhearted soul. 📸 Grateful for your friendship,
@callmevlad
. I’m just not always sure about those dad jokes. That said, you’re still cool. 💯
Just spent the last hour of my Sunday morning teaching a mini natural light photography workshop to lovely people and I have all these fuzzy feels. I truly love teaching. I'm excited to let y'all know that I'll be hosting photography workshops locally in the Bay this year! 💛 📸
A project I was super excited to collaborate on was pulled in-house today, which has me feeling some type of way (mostly v sad, haha), but the better news is I got an invite to Framer Web and so this is where you'll find me for the rest of Tuesday. 💙
How many of us are using this season to redesign our websites, haha? Starting with my design portfolio since it's long overdue for an update, but have been momentarily distracted reviewing old photography work. Hope you enjoy some of these favorites! ✨
In 2021 I’ll graduate my fashion program with a collection designed by yours truly. I’ve dedicated so many weekends to learning sustainable fashion + patternmaking and construction. Can’t wait to launch my line following graduation. Yes—I’ll be running
@stuuudioco
, too, haha. 🖤
Didn’t take enough photos with all the awesome friends (old and new) gathered at
#Config2023
this week; (though yay for being very present)!! Flying back to TX this morning with a full heart! 👋🏽🖤 So much gratitude for this community and for
@figma
gathering us together!
UM not me celebrating how transformative Dev Mode will be for our engineering team, increasing the efficiency of our collaboration and more. Figma being more dev-friendly is just a chef’s kiss moment rn!!
#Config2023
Y'all, I've been up since 2:30AM and I've managed to:
✅ Clean and organize my entire pantry
✅ Work out at the gym
✅ Shower, dress, and hit the road
✅ Respond to emails and get to inbox zero
Now going grocery shopping at 7:30AM.
I should be jet lagged more often!! ✈️😋
Hi, friends! 😃 So excited to share I'll be at
@Epicurrence
Winter Workweek February 26th - March 2nd to chat about something new—photography! So many incredible creatives will be there! Want to know more? Check out ❄️
It’s been a pretty magical day in Brooklyn so far! At the risk of sounding woo, my soul’s feeling pretty nourished meeting wonderful new folks, reconnecting with dear friends, and rekindling a sense of inspiration!👋🏽🖤☕️
2018 was one heck of a year, but I‘m sincerely grateful for everything that was experienced, learned and accomplished.🙏🏼
✅ First, I’m lucky to run a studio with my best friends,
@jeremiahjw
and
@alessio_joseph
. Proud of what we’re building and grateful we’re doing it together.
Learning to trust my gut after many negative experiences w/ Uber (and always w/ men). Being on guard is the norm. After a sketchy ride w/ a driver yesterday, I was SO relieved when a woman picked me up. We shared stories and she understood how hard it is to feel safe.🙏🏼
The past few weeks have been a trial, haha, and recently I've been more attentive to my self-talk. My saddest realization? I'm my own worst critic; I'm so mean...to me. I wouldn't talk to anyone else this way. So that's the tweet—just be a little kinder to yourself, friends. 💜
Today is officially a wrap for one of this year's toughest studio projects—lost several nights sleep over this one, haha. 2020 definitely shaped me into a more resilient business owner; but I also couldn't have done it without my amazing team and project partners
@stuuudioco
. 🖤
All the design folks at the office participated in an Enneagram workshop and all you gotta know about my type is that I don't really like public speaking, don't really like speaking about myself, and honestly prefer to not speak at all if it can be helped, haha
Hi, y'all! 👋🏼 I'm curious to better understand ways in which you showcase NDA-protected work in your design portfolio with prospective clients or hiring managers. Would love to hear from you—any recommendations you're willing to share? (Please RT!)
But happiness has. Healthy friendships, meaningful work, a purposeful life— that's what I want. In a deeper way I'm realizing that it's always worth making space for. So that's my Monday thought for y'all. I don't have any answers, just quiet deliberations for a life well-lived.
Friends!
@mialoira
has been working incredibly hard to make this beautiful magazine for womxn in tech a reality and it's exciting to see that more than 50% has already been backed. Let's get it fully funded. Get involved and back this Kickstarter! 💥
Stuck in traffic (on a bus—not texting and driving) so I figured I'd say I had one heck of a week
@Epicurrence
's Winter Workweek. Thanks to
@DannPetty
,
@krispuckett
and others for bringing the community together again and reminding us that people are what's most important. 💛
Folks busy posting their
#Config2023
fits, so I thought I’d join the party! And yes, I’m a product designer who’s not wearing all black today (which happens to be my fav color). Anyways, if you see me, come say hi! 🖤👋🏽
A couple of lovely things I'm looking forward to in February:
✅ Kicking off w/
@shiftnudge
as a design advisor
✅ Building my site in Webflow w/
@alex_tourgis
A nap somewhere in there because January was hectic AF.
I’ve been asking myself lately if there were no likes to be earned, people to impress and haters to be ignored, how fulfilled would I be of my existence absent of an internet persona?
Counting the days until next week's
@Epicurrence
Winter Workweek! ❄️ If you're interested in how I shoot portraits like this, I'm doing a natural light photography workshop and would love to see you there. Come say hi and let's be friends!!
Freelancers! 😃 Interested in new opportunities within the next few months? We're looking for senior web designers to partner with us on projects. Must be a nice human & A+ at collaborating with remote teams. Strong visual/UX portfolio required. US-only. ✉️ jobs

Kicked off the first of many hangouts earlier today with these rad ladies! 🎉 So many of us our redesigning our portfolios or personal websites during this season. Love that we can learn and create together as a community!
One of my goals for 2020 is to read more books. 📚 Kicking off January with these. How about y’all? Also, I haven’t picked any great works of fiction yet, so if you have recommendations, hook a gal up!
