What it’s like being Catholic and pregnant at 40 in 2022, a snapshot.
At the urgent care for a sinus infection.
Nurse practitioner: So I see you’re pregnant. Was that planned or … ?
Me: 😳🤔😡🙄 … We are open to life at all times.
NP: Ah.
“Praised be Jesus Christ,” says Cardinal Christophe Pierre, as he is welcomed as the first speaker of the National Eucharistic Congress to a standing ovation.
Me in confession: My Advent has been terrible.
Priest: The Christian life is a marathon. Get up off the mat. Have hope.
Sharing in case you need to hear that, too.
The National Eucharistic Congress’s decision to begin the first revival on the first night with a holy hour was inspired. “Lord, we wanted to give you the first words of our National Eucharistic Congress,” Bishop Cozzens said, and that decision paid off tonight big time.
Archbishop Jose Gomez of LA can barely get through his remarks at the news conference on the murder of Bishop David O'Connell. Clearly very upset. "Please keep praying for Bishop Dave and his family."

+Cordileone: The eyes of the whole country are on us. If we fail now and do not act courageously in presenting this teaching clearly and convincingly on this core Catholic value, how can we expect to be taken seriously on any other topic?

I know there's a lot of stuff happening in the world and Church today, but my 13-month-old just said MAMA for the first time, so forgive me but nothing else matters. 😍

This Nicaraguan Catholic bishop has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for being Catholic. Yesterday, he refused to board a plane that would have deported him to the US, saying he preferred to stay w his country — a very Catholic place that is being stripped of Catholicism 🙏

What did happen in Indianapolis? The Church in the US, for all its brokenness, division, confusion, anger and hurt, placed her meager gifts – the work of human hands – at the service of the Lord. He has blessed those gifts, transformed them, and will return them one-hundred-fold
A Eucharistic Triumph in Indianapolis | Stephen P. White: At the Eucharistic Congress Christ’s presence was palpable and pervasive. Everyone there knew it, everyone understood: “The Lord is here. Jesus is here.”
Praying for our bishops today as they embark upon a weeklong retreat centered upon the abuse crisis. May God give them the wisdom and courage to take the necessary next steps.

A behind the scenes look at what was happening backstage at the 10th National Eucharistic Congress. Jesus was being adored in the Blessed Sacrament and we were being prayed for by these Brides of Christ. This Congress was surrounded by the prayers of hidden intercessors.
On a personal note, it has been an absolute joy to be a part of this event and to share a little of it with all of you.
