Rainier Sea-to-Summit World First is mission accomplished!! 🌊🏔
Yesterday at 6:48pm reached Tahoma’s top. Logged 85.1 miles from Puget Sound and 14,411ft net elevation gain to reach the summit in 46h54m.
I Came. I Saw. I Crawled 😜 7 Marathons in 7 Days on 7 Continents is officially in the books!

We’re on pace for over 3,000 cancelled ferry sailings this year. Folks across the state are hurting — missing work, missing school, and missing medical appointments.
That’s why I introduced HB 2492, a bipartisan bill to Fix our Ferries...
Dreams come true 💜
3,156 miles logged from the Atlantic to the Pacific
$104,040 raised (and counting!) for youth mental health:
Grateful for all the support that’s made this adventure of a lifetime possible — I am the luckiest guy 🙏
🐘💥
Today marks 12 years sober. Grateful for another day and grateful for everyone who has supported me on the path 🙏💜
Looking to make a change? The first steps can be the hardest, so remember you’re not alone. Please drop me a line. I’d love to help.
I’m excited to share that I am running for Washington State Rep 🇺🇸💪
I’m running because I love Kitsap. I’m running for youth mental health and to protect our public schools, fix our ferries, and save our salmon.
Join our team:
Let’s go! 🇺🇸💪
Today marks 9 years sober! 🥳 I remember when hitting 9 days seemed impossible so I’m pinching myself on the milestone.
If I could go back in time to December 29, 2011 I’d tell myself that it won’t be easy, but it’ll be worth it. You’ll make mistakes and that’s ok. Keep going!
Celebrating the end of my first legislative session with my mama. She worked for the State as a social worker for 17 years... I’m proud to follow in her footsteps as State Rep ☺️
I’m lost for words… grateful for all the support and encouragement that’s made this possible 🙏
I promise to work hard and give it my very best. Let’s get to work!
Keep dreaming. Keep working.
Two weeks ago reached the Pacific and made my biggest dream come true.
Have been basking since — lots of fam time, feasting, and sleeping.
Feeling very lucky to have my legs back and feeling lots of peace and contentment.
Still smiling too ☺️
Fun work update: I’ve been elected Assistant Whip of the House Democratic Caucus! I’m grateful for colleagues giving the new guy a chance.
“The best surprise joining the caucus is seeing the strong teamwork and how we work together to deliver for our neighbors.” 💪💪
Barely missed the boat after a long day in the city… look up and a WSF crew member is patiently helping a senior in a wheelchair navigate Colman Dock.
Shoutout to Preston, a Bremerton-based
@wsferries
crew member, for being a terrific ambassador for our ferries! ⛴️🙌
The House just passed our Transportation Budget 93-2!! Huge win to Fix our Ferries and a huge boost to build Kitsap infrastructure 💪
⛴️ $1.3 billion this budget cycle for vessel construction and maintenance + staff recruiting and training ($80 million more allocated today!)
Day 53 🪶prayers for safe passage
Shared breakfast with Cedric Fighting Bear, a retired sawmill worker and proud Cheyenne.
He told us about the challenges facing youth on the reservation: depression, alcohol abuse, drug overdoses, and a surge in suicides. Heartbreaking 😭 1/
WE DID IT!! All 250km of Atacama Desert in the rear view. Have crossed many ultra finish lines but never while running beside Dad 🤗🤗 have dreamed about this moment for longer than I can remember! We celebrated with lots of bear hugs and then monster burgers
#RunHappy
Day 69 🐘💥 Let’s go, IDAHO!!
Final Montana miles were fittingly tough — climbed dusty, washed-out logging roads up to 5,310ft. Feet ached from sharp rocks and calves burned from steep slopes.
Amazing to crest the forested ridge, marking the state line! 1/
33 miles til the Pacific!
Legs felt strong so kept rolling for 53 miles — my biggest effort since Indiana farmland.
After logging 3,123 miles from the Atlantic, just 33 miles til we reach the Pacific!
Tonight I’ll watch the sunset with my feet in the ocean 🌊💜
1 month ago was sworn in as State Rep. Have aimed to listen and learn as much as I can to best represent Kitsap in the State House.
During our first 30 days, we’ve crisscrossed Kitsap to join 44 events, connect with 520 students, and meet over 2,100 neighbors...
My top priority is working to Fix our Ferries. We’ve built a bipartisan coalition of 27 co-sponsors and 347 community leaders to support legislation that’ll turn the tide.
We’re just getting started and we’re going to need your help to Fix our Ferries ⛴️💪
Day 9 ✅ Rough one. Heavy legs descending Allegheny’s, overheating in the valleys, then totally drenched by spring storm.
Mental game (barely) held up over 47 miles. Excited for some sleep then an 8am Pittsburgh group run to kick off final Pennsylvania effort! ☺️
Let’s celebrate, SEATTLE! 🥳
Pinching myself, but I’ll hit 3,000 miles and arrive home this Wednesday!!
Please join us for the Seattle Arrival Party — 5pm Wednesday at Pier 62 🥳🥳
Ok back to work — gotta finish climbing the Cascades first 🏔😂
Today marks 10 years sober! 🥳
Since those first steps, I’ve slowly built a life that works for me. I run each day, read and pray, hang with my fam, have wonderful friends, and get to work with great people.
But it’s a work-in-progress (and always will be). 1 step at a time!
“What’s next?” I’ve got some unfinished business
Starting tonight at sunset I’m making my second attempt at the Rainier Sea-to-Summit World First! 🌊🏔
No one has managed to run 76 miles and climb 14,411ft from Puget Sound to Rainier’s peak so I’m amped to get after it!
Just woke from an afternoon nap on a desolate Iowa highway. Big RV pulls over in front of us and a bunch of guys pile out.
These 12 college friends are on a Midwest road trip and found me using my live tracker.
Appreciated the perspective and roadside pick-me-up! 🧠💪
Final countdown! Run Across America kicks off at sunrise with a foot in the Atlantic — Road Crew assembled, gear packed, route scouted. We’re ready to rock! 🇺🇸❤️

Calm before the storm 💙❤️
TEN DAYS til we start the Run Across America with a foot in the Atlantic!
A dream a decade in the making… butterflies is an understatement but trusting in my training, trusting in my team, and trusting in the universe 💙❤️

@brooksrunning
Just arrived! Finisher’s buckle for the 1,000K Virtual Race Across Tennessee 🤩 Race began May 1st and I averaged 15 miles per day. I signed up because I needed a goal I could incrementally achieve by channeling my nervous energy. It worked! 🐒

Today the Senate unanimously passed HB 2112, our bill to prevent fentanyl overdoses and save lives 🥹💜
Too many of us have lost friends and family because one pill can kill. Grateful for the student advocates who shared their stories…
My first bill is officially a law 🥹 Governor Inslee signed Working Connections Child Care into law! HB 2111 clarifies eligibility for subsidized childcare to better support Washington’s working families.
Day 2 is dusted 💪 legs felt surprisingly good so cruised 50 miles thru New Jersey, across the Delaware River, into Pennsylvania.
Sharing live updates on IG: GregRunsFar
Day 6 ✅ Biggest battle running 52 miles of Lower Appalachia was between my ears — had to wrestle lots of self-doubt to keep climbing.
Road Crew sensed it and brought the jokes and levity and fuel to keep me climbing higher 🙏 back to work in the morning!
Day 78 🏔🌊 Downhill to Seattle!
So sweet reaching Stevens Pass and realizing we’ve crossed the Cascades!
Couldn’t stop grinning while descending into the evergreen forests… Looks like home, smells like home, feels like home 🌲🥰
Hello Miami! 🇺🇸🌴Just 26.2 miles across South Beach to go. I’m hobbling thru airport extra fast so I can get to the startline and hug Mom and Dad before final gut check. Surreal to have end in sight for first time. Can taste it 🇺🇸🌴 Let’s do this!!
Amped to join Fire Ops 101 training alongside Central Kitsap Fire Captain Alex McCracken 🚒🔥 I’m exhausted after carrying 50 pounds of gear thru the drills (ladder rescue and “fire attack” were my favorites) but big smiles learning from some great firefighters.
Awesome experience touring the Steel City and soaking up the energy ⚡️
Such a cool honor for Run Far Foundation to be the official mental health partner to the Pittsburgh Marathon. We’re grateful for the opportunity to get kids moving with a purpose!
Now quick nap + feast 😁
New Mile PR = 4:57! 🥳
Have tried to crack sub 5 since high school so I’m basking on the milestone… especially because it took me 40,000 tries 🤣
Extra special making it happen at the final All-Comers meet... Always fun running but even better cheering on the little ones!
Day 12 ✅ Drenched all 49 miles. Tried to keep head in the game but today was a struggle. Tough finding a rhythm while running thru standing water and getting totally soaked as cars drove by 🥶🥶
Adventure time 🌲 Dad and I are running the aptly-named “Last Fool Standing” in Port Gamble — a 3.5 mile loop each hour until only one runner is still standing 😅
Not our best idea, but Mom has agreed to crew so we’re all feeling foolish…
We start at 8am, wish us luck!
It wasn’t pretty, but I ran 133 miles and finished 2nd in the Tartarus Last Runner Standing Ultra! 🥳🥳
I’m super amped because that’s the farthest I’ve ever run and I set a new 100-mile PR (23h46m, over an hour quicker than my previous)!
Huge 🙏
@leeknowlton
for mega support!
Washington faces a dire healthcare workforce shortage. We must reduce unnecessary barriers to train and certify our workforce. Today the House unanimously passed my bill HB 2355 to help us train more MRI technologists to detect breast cancer, diagnose heart disease…
Appreciated hearing from neighbors at Bremerton’s Fix our Ferries townhall. The message is clear = one-boat service since 2021 has been devastating for our community.
We’ve gotta do better and it starts with dedicated funding for new vessels and new recruits ⛴️💪
Today marks 8 years since my last drink 🙏 Alcohol used to be my daily escape for stress and depression. 8 years ago I decided to make a change and have been taking it one step at a time since. Grateful to my friends and fam who’ve helped me on the journey 🙏
#QuittersUnite
Day 7 ✅ Tough getting out of bed. Last thing I wanted was to run 36 miles over Appalachian 🏔 Repeated
@JamesClear
‘s “start before you’re ready” and today showed, once more, that there’s magic in momentum.
Week 1 is wrapped with 333 miles logged. Onward to the Pacific!
Mumbai Marathon is in the books! 🇮🇳 Explored bustling markets and docks, old colonial sites, potholed streets strewn with livestock, and a magnificent waterfront trail. Celebrated with a swim in the Arabian Sea and paneer + curry

thanks

!
Day 24 ✅ We’ve crossed the Mississippi!
Big milestone came amidst a tough stretch.
Some real talk: running into Chicago last week was a huge emotional high… and leaving the next morning was a huge low.
Aiming for a mental reset west of the Mississippi. 🙏💜
Thankful to Kitsap County Clerk David Lewis for swearing me in! Special sharing the moment with friends after the Kitsap Democrats meeting Monday in Bremerton 🇺🇸
Washington’s legislature will gavel into session on Monday. Was stressing with Olympia prep til this sweet message from Woodward 8th graders. Good luck needed and appreciated! 🍀🥹
Day 17 ✅ 91F heat + humidity stalked us but Road Crew kept me dialed on hydration, electrolytes and ice packs.
Kept heart below 135bpm to prevent overexerting and held it steady for 53 miles thru Indiana farm country.
Big stress test for us and we crushed it together! 🔥💪
A journey of 3,156 miles begins with a single step. We took the first step one year ago today.
Grateful to the Road Crew for keeping me in one piece and to friends for all the support that made the run across America possible.
Still pinching myself ☺️
#YouthMentalHealth
Great meeting Kitsap’s 4-H delegation! 🍀These young leaders are advocating for more school-based youth mental health resources. Excited to introduce them to colleagues in Olympia next month and make progress together! 🍀🙌
Day 31 🙈 hobbled ankle = tough 38 miles.
Almost across Minnesota and in the midst of a very tough stretch. Playing whack-a-mole with various setbacks — hammy, Achilles, quad, hip flexors, shoulder, ankle this week — and running thru miles of pain each day.
Back to work! 🐘💥
Nance Fam had a blast cheering on Hannah in her softball debut! She loves her new team and had the biggest smile running the bases after hitting a line drive 😁🥎
Over the Hump! 🐪🐪 My body is locking up on me but mind held us together for 26.2 tough miles in Dubai. I’m hurting — can’t hold down fluids and legs are banged up — but still smiling because 4 marathons done, 3 to go! Onto Madrid! 🙌
@wentworthwms
Day 10 ✅ Onto OHIO!
Indescribable feeling to cross Pennsylvania — so much gratitude for our amazing team, all the support, and the memories.
Want to support our mission? Buy a Run Far Foundation tee or hoodie — all proceeds go to youth mental health:
Today marks 7 years since my last drink. Alcohol was a daily escape from stress and setbacks. 7 years ago I was finally able to quit and have been taking it one day at a time since 💪💪 Are you aiming to make a change? The first steps are tough but worth it

Hello Seattle 🥰
3,007 miles from NYC to Seattle and will never forget the final mile with this crew and the sweetest reception at Pier 62 ☺️🥰
Heading south today around Puget Sound… just 149 miles til our finish on the Pacific at Ocean Shores! 🐘💥
Best Team Wins 💪💪
I was the yahoo running 3,156 miles but there’s no way I make it Atlantic to Pacific without an amazing support team.
Thank you, Roc + Elise + Dr. Yoshi + Reid + Maddi for making the dream possible 🙏🙏
#BestTeamWins
Best surprise seeing my buddy Randy Zellers! By day, Randy is a
@wsferries
terminal attendant, greeting passengers and directing traffic with a smile.
By night, Randy becomes “Tae Kwon Bro”, a state champ at NW Pro Wrestling. He’s a total badass in the ring and on the boat ⛴️💪
Across the Continent in 80 Days 🥳🥳
Can’t wait to celebrate 5pm TONIGHT at Seattle’s Pier 62!!
Grateful for allll the support and to friends for supporting our Youth Mental Health mission!
You can help us reach our $100k goal:
