My mum who was a primary school teacher for 30 years, was completely against testing, she used to say 'a child never got taller by measuring them'. I've had 4 kids do SATs, haven't met a teacher or parent who thinks they're a good idea.

Putting Corbyn in charge of primary education (where he’d replace high quality SATs with teacher assessment) would lower standards, increase teacher workload and disproportionately disadvantage the poorest pupils. It should fill us all with dread:
