Not your typical call for service for GPD. Sgt. Diefenderfer, Ptlm Williams and Ptlm Verble rescused 10 ducklings 🦆 from a drain yesterday. They even stopped traffic so Mama Duck and the ducklings could cross safely.

We ask for prayers today for K-9 Ace, who was hit by a vehicle late last night while pursuing a suspect, and his handler Patrolman Caleb Freeman.
Ace is doing well but is still in the hospital today. We are thankful he doesn't have any broken bones. Ptm. Freeman wasn't injured.

On Saturday, A Squad Day shift presented Kaiden with a new bike! Kaiden had his bike stolen last week so our Officers pitched in and bought him a new one. Look at the smile on his face!

responded to a report of 12 ducklings stuck in a drainage area. Officers arrived and rescued 9 ducklings. The remaining 3 ducklings needed a little more assistance. Ofc. Jarrod Davis crawled into drainage area and completed the rescue!🦆🦆🦆
12 years ago today, Greenfield Police Officer Will Phillips was conducting Bicycle Patrol Training with other officers when he was struck and killed by a passing car.

We would like to congratulate Lieutenant Jimmie Condra for completing 20 years of service today to the City of Greenfield.
Lieutenant Condra became a Greenfield Police Officer on January 18, 2003. He currently serves as the B-Squad night shift Lieutenant.
Starting July 27th, all Hoosiers over the age of 8 who meet the requirements will have to wear a mask. Please take a look at the guidelines. Remember not to get angry at the businesses or employees.

Ptlm. Freeman had been deployed with his Indiana Army National Guard unit as part of Operation Guardian Support along the southwest border. He assisted the U.S. Border Patrol from Oct. 2020 thru Oct. 2021.
