We had dinner. Child barely ate protein so I put the plate away to be finished later when child would get hungry again. Dessert was served (huge banana choc chip muffins). Child had 1 & 1/2 muffins & asked for more. I placed leftover dinner in front of child. This is not abuse.

My self-care days are so toxic. Instead of a 15min shower, I take a 30min one & maybe even add a body scrub toward the end. On rare occasions I leave the house alone & pick up a coffee & cookie. At first it was quite devastating to my family but they’ve learned to manage.

A couple of weeks ago I shared that my husband only gets migraines on the weekend & someone asked me what time he has coffee during the week v on Saturday & there was a 3 hour difference so I am now making my husband iced coffee that will be waiting for him in the AM. Thanks!

I cried in the shower this morning while my children played and I wondered how many times my mother may have done the same thing w/o me knowing. Mothers have a way of protecting their children from the many difficult realities of adult life.

Just giving updates for those who are interested. She’s been moved from the ER ward to a regular room and will be monitored with an EEG for 24 hours. Please pray for her but also my bro & dad as this was very overwhelming for them. I will try to see her tomorrow based on updates

Thanks for praying. She’s stable, awake, and alert. She doesn’t remember anything that happened right before. Just that she felt a little tired. They are doing some testing so we will have to wait for the results.
