Strange how English people think it is pointless to use Bannau Brycheiniog because "nobody in Wales speaks Welsh" and yet every time an English person goes into a pub in Wales, all the locals start talking in Welsh.
I can't work it out.
Really hoping that Welsh Labour receives a real shock from Plaid Cymru voters in this election. Not in terms of the numbers of seats - Labour should win most in Wales - but in the total number of votes cast in favour of Plaid Cymru.
Cymru needs change. Vote
@Plaid_Cymru
My Nain was beaten for speaking Welsh in the school playground.
When other countries do such things they are portrayed as demons.
When England did it, we are asked to forget.
"Accommodate, accommodate, accommodate, as if nothing ever happened "
โToday I spoke Latvianโ was used as a shame punishment in schools during the russification campaigns
It was punishable to speak your own language. russian imperialism runs deeper than putin
@TomiCaws
When I was younger, Sri Lanka was called Ceylon, Myanmar was called Burma, Mumbai was called Bombay and Uluru was called Ayers Rock.
I see no reason why Wales cannot be called Cymru and any location in Cymru that wishes to have a Cymraeg name should be allowed to
@RachelReevesMP
@jreynoldsMP
@Keir_Starmer
Wales? You mean Cymru.
And it is a country not a city. Show some respect and name the city in Cymru you visited just as you have for places in England.
@BethRigby
This is shambolic.
There is no stability in the cabinet
There is no stability of government policy
There is no stability within the party in government
A shambolic way to lead a country
We need change
Quickly
@DanielaNadj
I believe the process is as follows:
1. Gove apologises
2. Johnson says the matter is closed
3. Media create a furore
4. Gove resigns
5. Johnson claims he sacked Gove
Twelve months ago, I decided to change my eating and drinking habits in order to lose weight.
Not yet reached my target, but feeling pretty pleased with myself for the progress so far.
@BrugesGroup
Hello, weights and measures inspector here. They were not taken away by 'foreign bureaucrats'. It was long standing UK policy to move to SI units. The legislation to remove imperial was a UK instrument amending a UK act of Parliament. It had nothing to do with the EU.
Impressive that when asked a question about coal tips in RCT, the PM responds with an answer about investing in rail electrification in North Wales and safeguarding jobs in Neath Port Talbot.
Perhaps people should be taught geography to age 18 as well as maths
At PMQs today I asked the Prime Minister if he thought it was right that UK Government should benefit from extracting Welsh coal, but wonโt fund the safety of its legacy.
In response he talked about trains and Tata. But not about coal tips.
#PMQs
There is nothing Welsh about Welsh Fire.
And there is nothing that reflects Wales in the TV presentation from Sophia Gardens.
Quite clear that the organisers of the Hundred wish to create franchises with global appeal, with little consideration of local engagement.
Such a shame
If we live in a united kingdom, why do all our bank notes have Bank of England on them?
Surely it should be Bank of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?
@thatginamiller
Didn't people campaign to leave EU as unelected bureaucrats were not answerable to MPs?
And now we have a Foreign Secretary that does not have to answer questions in the House of Commons.
It would be laughable, if it were not so serious.
Sunak is making a mockery of government

Populism. They are just saying things to try and make themselves sound appealing.
There is no substance behind anything they say
@NationCymru
Over to you
@RishiSunak
, you claim you are running a government with integrity, professionalsm and accountability. Does this extend to all party elected officials?
@AndrewRTDavies
Surely a full lockdown in England would be equally as disproportionate and unnecessary.
Or is it acceptable when it is imposed by a conservative government?
@David__Osland
More to the point, why will the Crown Estate charge rental fees to the companies basing offshore wind turbines there?
This will increase the cost of electricity generated and will be paid by customers.
The general public, subsiding the King.
Should be the other way around.
My son's first Wrexham game, 2015 I think. He cried when we scored, because it was so loud!
So glad he grew out of that and was there last Saturday with me.

This picture means everything to me.
The Wrexham of my youth, meets the Wrexham of the present.

Until I met my wife, I never realised that people took a quality street chocolate from the box then put the empty wrapper back in.
Her whole family do it.
It's a disgrace.

Lowest growth in the G7.
Inflation at 11%
Food shortages due to Brexit
Only G7 economy smaller than before covid
Welcome to Tory Britain
@Simonhartmp
Error, UK has the highest number of deaths in Europe.
Please explain how your assertion of being "ahead of the World in response to Covid" is factually accurate.
If we win tomorrow, I will spend a moment thinking of this guy.
I haven't heard of anyone who did more to save our club.
We met once, in a pub at Forest Green Rovers. I listened in awe as people told me what he had done, while he just smiled.
Not all heroes wear capes.

I have known people to be dismissed for falsifying expense claims, and for telling others to falsify their expense claims.
This would result in a dismissal in any public or private organisation.
She needs to go.

He lied. He told us that all guidelines had been followed all of the time.
And yet here were are, with fines for breaking guidelines.
He lied.
@timfarron
I attended a Liverpool city region meeting yesterday. They will receive ยฃ10 million per annum less than they received from the EU, for "levelling up" people and places.
Cities and communities will soon degenerate if this is replicated
Why do politicians is Westminster feel comfortable in denying an elected government the right to be able to have powers to create laws to govern the people who elected them?
Why should an elected government need to beg for the rights to pass laws?

Welsh unemployment is rising.
Reading & numeracy skills continue to be the lowest in the UK.
Iโve written to the Labour Welsh Government saying these ought to be their priorities, not wasting time in demanding more powers.

"British money". Therefore both Wales and Scotland contribute to the total.
But can only access getting some of our own money back by asking another government for permission.
This is not normal.

This is one of the two sewage plants in Copenhagen. It has the capacity to clean sewage water from 750.000 people. It's so effective that people can bathe safely in the harbour.
The waste is used to make biogas, supplying 60% of the gas needed in Copenhagen.
Pure win win.

Northern Ireland enjoys free movement of goods and people with the EU and with the rest of the UK.
They are in the Single Market.
When can England, Scotland and Wales enjoy the same benefits?
Remember when

threw out the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon on the basis that spending ยฃ1.3 billion did not represent value for money, before wasting ยฃ22 billion on a failed test and trace system.

Yes, it is disastrous the way our Government have committed to feed pupils entitled to free school meals until next April.
Our free prescriptions are disastrous, as is free parking in hospitals.
How are things going on your side of the border?

My 14 year old daughter said
"How can they spend so much money on a party for the Queen when there are people living in cardboard boxes on the street".
So proud of her.
Proud to be Welsh.
@andersleijersta
So what you are saying is that in Sweden, children get taught Swedish and English.
In Wales, children get taught Welsh and English.
What's your point?
@MarkDrakeford
Congratulations. Beware of the backlash from Westminster as they will hate the fact that Tories do not control Wales and will therefore undermine Y Senedd whenever they can.
@TomiCaws
My welsh mate met a girl from Leicestershire when he was on holiday, but he couldn't believe that Ashby de la Zouch was not in France.
He would have had a heart attack if he had met anyone from Chapel en le Frith.

He is the leader of our government. A government that was established and elected democratically. A government that represents our country, with our own language and culture.
The fact that we have to ask a government in another country what our own government can do is ridiculous

Watering the plants is highly ambitious.
Can't get mine to take their dirty plates off the table and put them on top of the dishwasher ( getting them to load the dishwasher is beyond my expectation)

I am sure they are very nice people as individuals and as a couple.
But I fail to see why they should be pronounced as rulers of Wales based on feuds that happened over 600 years ago.
Time to move on.
@Channel4News
So it's not a union of equals then. Northern Ireland has special privileges denied to Great Britain.
Northern Ireland remains in the single market. The rest of the UK suffers economic disadvantages.
Therefore, the UK has not left the EU

A defining moment, to understand the mental health anxieties associated with unemployment and the breakdown of family life.
Modern day politicians should be forced to watch the series.
