❓ Are you struggling with painful grief? Do you feel like you’ve been sad too long? Have others suggested you “move on” or “be strong”?
❗️ It's not your fault. From a young age, we've all been given ideas about grief that do not serve us well. It's time to challenge these

My mother has been admitted to hospice. As a hospice chaplain, I know the drill, but the impact still hits. I know the Lord will take care of her. Prayers for her comfort, please.
Thank you so much for the prayers and wishes! God is always great. My issue was minor; I just wanted to rule out cardiac. I'm blessed with a great wife and supporters.

Humans can live entirely off of meat. Advertisers do not benefit if the public is healthy. Once I reduced simple carbs, my blood work was normal, and I eat eggs and bacon nearly every day.

Various apologetic responses have been proposed to address this paradox:
Definition of Omnipotence: One approach is to redefine omnipotence not as the ability to do literally anything, but as the ability to do anything that is logically possible. In this view, creating a rock so
Thank you so much for the outpouring of prayers and wishes regarding my mother in hospice. As a hospice chaplain, I've seen the dying process many times, and I'm always amazed at how God cares for us when our bodies shut down. There is mercy.

straw man fallacy by the hater. I only pray they are trolling and don't believe most people believe women are so grossly mischaracterized.

I think Jordan's intellect makes him blind to the forest because of the trees, sometimes. But it's his path to wrestle with God and his journey is an example of the mind and spirit trying to cohere to accept Christ.
Yesterday, I visited the wrong hospice patient. The elderly lady I spoke to was in tears that someone had come to talk with her. She desperately needed human interaction, the best mistake of the week.

100%, put so well as "the sin most of us aren't guilty of." The majority of sins like adultery, drunkenness, and turning against your neighbor go largely ignored.
“Grief, I've learned, is really just love. It's all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”

I recognize that when people are rude or nasty; it reflects what fills them. I pray they can replace that anger with the Spirit. I work on this daily. I know it's not simple.
Though sin has alienated the human race from God, Jesus— by His work on the cross—has ended that alienation and brought us near to God: “Now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13).
Recovery is a choice we make to embrace life again, even after deep sorrow. It’s about finding our way back to love, not just for others, but for ourselves. It’s about reclaiming our freedom—the freedom to live fully, to love deeply, and to be at peace with our past.

"The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah. In those days and at that time, I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; he will do what is just and right in the land."

today, we want to encourage you with Philippians 4:6, which tells us “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

The tragedy is that culturally, men aren't supposed to show feelings. This will cause complicated grief. Causing the man to bottle it up to later come out as anger or worse. Men aren't ok, they just pretend. I walk people through grief daily.
Crazy day. Did five visits to hospice patients, in the rain, drove about 100 miles. Wife is with her sister in ICU when I get home...man plans and God laughs.
A long but productive day. Organized a new grief group, squared away on bereavement support, and reminded that the A/C in cars is moot when the temp is 103.
I don't believe that God causes our losses for his purposes, but I do believe that God will be with us to find healing and purpose out of our losses and struggles. I don't believe that God took your loved one but I believe that God received your loved one.
C.S. Lewis reminds us, “There are no ordinary people.” Not when we are each made in God’s Image for an eternal destiny and called to live an earthly mission that reveals His Kingdom.
The Lord is with me. In 45 years of driving I never came as close to death as today's incident. If that van had tipped over instead of just rising on two wheels, I would be gone.
Do not deny your feelings. Acknowledge them, face them, deal with them, and name them.
You are the only one who can identify your emotions, but the support from others can give you the courage to face and acknowledge what you are feeling.
Share your feelings with God. Talk to

I had an IT recruiter call me about a job that pays 180k a year. I have the skills but not the will. I'm committed to service now, much less liquid but happier.
As we pray for revival in our government, ask God to hear the prayers of those who “delight in revering [His] name” – and pray for favor for believers who have access to the leaders of our nation. (Nehemiah 1:11)

What else could I try?"

Today was exhausting but the good kind. Visited multiple hospice patients and learned more than I taught and received more than I gave.

I received immersion baptism today on stage in a baptismal pool. I felt no anxiety at all, very unusual for me. The Spirit is with me and while I don't deserve it, He has provided me peace. Blessings to all of God's children.
