41 Westgate Street gets even more interesting! As part of the work we are doing with the Cathedral Quarter project we have found the remains of many layers of ancient wallpaper behind the old plaster and skim, which have beautiful designs on them.

Gloucester Farmers’ Market reopens tomorrow at The Cross to offer a range of local produce to customers once again. It is open from 9am-3pm with 10 traders on site. Eastgate Indoor Market is also now fully operational and social distancing measures are in place at both sites.

Go to Gloucester Park & take a pew on this beautiful bench carved out of a large plane tree which was previously on the Bus Station site. The carvings reflect what is happening in 2018; which marks 100 years since the end of WW1 & 1,100 years since the burial of Aethelflaed.
Alney Island residents at risk of flooding are being evacuated as flood defences are close to overtopping. Residents are advised to go to GL1 Leisure Centre - please arrive by 10pm. After 10pm residents need to call 01452 396 396 for advice on where to go.
