What my daughter experienced in that Project Room Key motel is horrific. “Mom, there were drugs everywhere. People up all night screaming and fighting. Prostitutes and pimps would be walking in the halls. It was bad.” She relapsed in that Project Room Key motel in Oakland.

She says there are a number of days she was there that she can’t even remember. We found her in a RV/encampment/drug scene days later. She weighed less than 100 lbs. She was at her worst. I hope she NEVER recalls what happened to her in those days she can’t remember.

She shared this today: Last year, she was living in an all women SLE and was working toward creating a better life for herself. She had 3 months of sobriety. Sam got Covid and at that time, protocol was to send people living in SLE’s to a Project Room Key Motel.

He is applying for food stamps and SSI which all Californians pay for. I feel for this kid. And he seems able bodied and capable of holding a job. I had decided to go to the D6 Sup. debate today in SF. I felt that I should listen to all those running to hear their views on the state of the City. Full disclosure: I don’t vote in SF. But I have spent an awful lot of time walking/driving the streets looking for my daughter.

The City of San Francisco is effectively giving legal aid to the Sinaloa cartel to evade its own police force. The same kinds of things are happening in other cities, too. I'm focusing on SF because I know it best and because it's the bleeding edge case.

Lots of harm reduction vs abstinence talk today. So many opinions. Here is how harm was reduced in my addiction/recovery: -MANDATED to a facility by @ACSOSheriffs due to meth-induced psychosis. They saved my life♥️ Apparently public electrical boxes are NOT surveilling me!
