Avraham "Avi" Tate, a high ranking Mossad field agent from Kiryat Gat is the first confirmed Israeli casualty.
He leaves behind a wife, Shoshana, two dogs, Imam Ali and Imam Husayn, and a successful kosher cam business.
Highly recommend this Haaretz article! Throughout the war they have been atrocious but this article is excellent, it tells the in-depth story behind Sinwar, his mindset and his take over of Hamas after he was released. Anyone who wants to understand...
This might be the most astonishing case of FAFO I've seen to date.
October 7th: yay we are trampling the Zionists, great time guys, peace ✌️🕊️
Now: in Egypt, great 😃 👍
It's all so nonchalant lol.....it's like how Dory would tweet if she was a Palestinian 🐠🐟
@RALee85
Some of this footage from Ukraine is just insane. Gritty, hard hitting and gives normal people a very small glimpse into the horrors soldiers face.
Haaretz has been especially bad this entire war, almost everything published there at the moment appears to be aimed at making the army and Israel look as bad as possible. Headline after headline designed to evoke panic.
FYI the army isn't disintegrating, the opposite in fact.
@academic_la
Getting the hostages out at all costs, not invading rafah and allegedly handling the repercussions is a terrible idea, the exact type of thinking that led to October 7th. Let's hope this doesn't transpire.
Mohammed Hijab explains from a comfy life in England that they will beat Israel because they are willing to die for their cause while the "Zionists" essentially aren't.....
how anyone can say something like with a straight face when they themselves have never picked up a gun.
Hijab doubles down on comments he has previously made regarding life, death and martyrdom, stating “if this is going to be a war to the death, are you willing to die for this thing…we are willing to die, we say yes we are willing.”
@IsraelRadar_com
@N12News
As an Israeli I encourage European countries that have spike missiles to just provide them to Ukraine without my governments permission.
Israeli government can make a statement saying it's outrageous blah blah but nothing we can do.
Problem solved
This is without a doubt the most articulate, eloquent and well delivered monologue I've heard to date describing what Israel is up against in Gaza, especially in relation to hamas' use of human shields.
He blows away any hasbara or government spokesperson IMO.
IDF fatalities in Gaza by month:
November (including October 31st which was first day of major ground operation s): 73
December: 105
January: 53
February: 19
March: 14
@academic_la
Someone else running Gaza isn't a concession on hamas' part IMO, they still have thousands of fighters so will be the ones truly running the place. They get to concentrate on rebuilding their military and when the time is right they will throw out this temporary government.
I forced myself to read some haaretz articles from this week, this is what they believe:
Release the hostages at all costs, let Hamas rebuild, empty the prisons of terrorists, continue to let Iran attack us with zero cost but Netanyahu will be gone so everything will be great.
@academic_la
"complete understanding" that's not true and polls actually show most Israelis still believe we'll win the war and you don't live in Israel so your perception of the general mood isn't going to be truly accurate. Funnily enough the mood amongst combat soldiers is still very high
Oct 7th was the biggest intelligence failure in Israel's history and also one of the biggest intelligence failures in the history of modern warfare
One of the most frustrating things about this is that with just 30 minutes warning we could have stopped almost all of it.
Me and my good friend, Tony, had a discussion about the property market in Tel Aviv in one of my recent tweets, as you can see we summarised the main issues quite succinctly.
Lebanese official statistics state the during the past 4 months IDF attacks have killed about 50 civilians. Hezbollah and other armed groups have admitted to over 250 deaths. your assessment is completely refuted by anyone with the most basic information on the issue
Israel has been targeting Lebanese children and civilians as a matter of strategy, not collateral damage. As in Gaza, it's compensating for its lack of military achievements with civilian casualties to cover up for its inability to push Hizbullah away from the border area 1/
A dangerous and developing situation in the settlement of Efrat:
Caroline Glick, a powerful class 5 Anglo boomer Olah, has become so unstable as a result of the Rafah operation news cycle that she is on the verge of exploding. The blast is expected be extremely violent.
So basically release 6,000 terrorists, remove all Israeli soldiers from Gaza, let a million Gazans return north, arrive back at our starting point and maybe attack Gaza again in a couple years. Terrible idea, how are these people at the top of the secruity establishment?
One of the biggest "resistance axis" supporting accounts on twitter, a self described geopolitical analyst with a million followers, doesn't believe Israel has nuclear weapons. Hmmmmm 🤔 lol
Doing these things in Israel doesn't make you are a sucker or פראייר :
1. Serving in the army
2. Making reserve service
3. Driving safely
4. Not littering
5. Not being rude to people you interact with day to day, including restaurant staff etc
@CalibreObscura
Yeah but Americans could give away a 1000 Bradley's and 1000 Abrams and still not really effect their combat potential, this is what I find odd. Loads of this stuff is collecting dust at vehicle yard across the America, why not supply Ukraine with force overmatch????
In theory I could replace Eylon Levy as I speak fluent English with a British accent. I duno how good I'll be at hasbara though, I'll just say what I think.
BBC journalist: "is Israel intending to displace the population of Gaza into Egypt?"
Me: "I duno but I really hope so"
@CalibreObscura
@RomanObens
I predict that trump looses very badly to biden. The maga base is big and loyal but not big enough to win a presidential election. I believe a large number of republicans will abandon the orange emperor
You see these two strolling down the corridors of your national police headquarters and you know you're well on your way to becoming the Jewish version of Zimbabwe.
@MEMRIReports
This is why universities can't just be left to their own devices. There has to be some kind of political inference on some level to stop them being turning into factories for enemy ideologies.
The levels of misinformation Israelis are being subjected to in order to make us agree to this Saudi/hostage deal are extraordinary. we have Amos yadlin claiming a signed peace of paper with Saudi will legitimise Israel's existence in the Arab world!
The great satan has so far given 3 martyrs on road to liberating Jerusalem.
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Algeria, and many other Muslim states have given none.
Who is really the enemy?
What does it mean to be a "general" in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon lol?
Was this officer in command of a formation composed of 4 or 5 fully manned combined arms brigades with organic air defence capabilities?
A couple years ago I met an American man (not Jewish) who was in Israel because he believed the end of the world was near and only Israel would survive.
He believed Jews orchestrated WW2 and 9/11. His visa was about to run out so he was looking for an Israeli woman to marry.

I do find it slightly concerning that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a random comedian with no military experience, is a more effective and determined wartime leader than any of the top politicians in the Knesset, some of whom have spent decades in the army and politics.
Last night was the biggest drone and missile attack in the history of warfare. The idea that absorbing this without doing some severe in return is somehow a victory or a smart of some 3d chess move is just fantasy, pure unadulterated fantasy.
There are a lot of Israelis that don't want to hear this but the most beneficial action Israel can take to give us more flexibility from our key partners as well as from bodies like the EU and secruity council is to allow massive amounts of aid (food, medicine, water) into Gaza.
Not a bad call tbf, the engine contains lots of precious metals so if you are going to find Jews anywhere on an aircraft it probably is going to be there
I'm sure this will increase the pressure on Hamas to advance a hostage deal.
But seriously, the IDF has enough munitions to conquer rafah many times over. My response to the Americans would be: bring it, fuckers.
US stopped delivery of 3,500 bombs to Israeli Air Force due to concern over IDF operation in Rafah, American official says via
@WallaNews
. Shipment still on hold, no final US decision. Note: Israel may need these munitions for ops across Mideast i.e. Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran.
A day ago, a senior intelligence officer of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Akiki 💅🏼, died in the intensive care unit of Hatem Hospital. The hunt for him had been going on for a long time.
With great pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance mourns the martyr, the Mujahid, Gonzalo Lira, “Abu Red Pill”, from the town of New York in the great satan, who rose as a martyr on the road to Jerusalem.
Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments. Gonzalo Lira was an American citizen, but the Biden administration clearly supported his imprisonment and torture. Several
What people assume lone soldiers think about: I must defend the land of Israel and Jewish people.
What lone soldiers actually think about: I hope my commander lets me take my gun home on the weekend so I can look cool in front all the girls I'm trying to impress
@academic_la
No I'm not, I actually live here and almost everyone in my unit is positive. And most people in my personal life still believe we'll win even if in an inefficient manner.
Apart from having a world class air force, military intelligence apparatus and special operations command, the IDF also remains undefeated in thirst trap posting.
THE LARGEST ANTI-WAR AND PRO CEASEFIRE PROTEST IS MARCHING RIGHT NOW IN TEL AVIV
“In Rafah and Sderot: children deserve to live". We are Jews and Palestinians demanding together to end the war & the occupation and to bring Israeli-palestinian peace.
@omdimbeyachad
is growing!
My views on the judicial crisis now? I still think it went to far and that a more moderate reform would have resolved a lot of the issues with the legal system while preserving national unity but I now view the policies of the centre left as far more dangerous.
@tmsilverman
All these arguments about who's indigenous, who has the right to land are essentially pointless because title to territory, as we all know deep down, is based on force and power and the readiness to defend what you hold.
@MEMRIReports
Highly unlikely, the Jordanians got their arses handed to them in 1967 and realised afterwards they would rather shout loudly from the sidelines then go to war against Israel again hence the peace treaty they signed
My understanding is that it only took a few minutes (possibly 15 minutes) for IDF forces to reach the Shifa hospital, which is situated right in the center of Gaza city, from a starting position located in the Netzarim Corridor. This same journey took 8 days during the initia...
Under no circumstances can Israel let Hezbollah dictate how long and to what extent we fight in gaza. If we let them dictate whether we can defeat an enemy like hamas, especially after the incredibly brutal events of October 7th, then we don't deserve a country.
Israel has reached the point where it can no longer delay: Either finalize a far-reaching ceasefire deal that ends Gaza war & warfare on Lebanon front, or shift to full-scale military operations vs Hezbollah. June will likely be a month of hard decisions and/or dramatic actions.
@academic_la
It's not accurate to suggest that rafah will ever become relatively unimportant. Rafah is only route Hamas has to smuggle arms into gaza and once Israel controls the border this will almost cease which will facilitate the long term aim of demilitarising Gaza to west bank levels
Hello Miss Scott, I represent a nonprofit named "finish the job", we are currently seeking donations to help residents of Gaza cross into Egypt via rafah. We are aiming to facilitate the transfer of all 2.3 million residents at $5,000 per head, is this of interest to you perhaps?
MacKenzie Scott plans to give away all her money. So far she’s given away $16.5 billion. She’s even giving away money to nonprofits that aren’t asking for money. “I’m not stopping until the safe is empty”
The Politcial Leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh and one of his Boydguards have been Killed, after their Residence in the Iranian Capital of Tehran was Targeted in an Unknown Attack.
Easy to debunk this one. The army was at its best between the mid 60s and mid 70s. The country was less religious and proportionally there were less exemptions for Torah study. There's no correlation between the two things.
Hopefully in ten years there'll be thousands of overpriced, badly built apartments in this location along with the sounds of arsim screaming "ben zona" at each other in street as Eyal Golan is played at annoyingly loud levels while people are trying to rest on Saturday morning.
There has never been a war in history where 80% of the country has been decimated, 100% of the population displaced and 50% of the deaths children…
So let’s just call it for what it really is… this is a GENOCIDE..🇵🇸💔
I would much rather that the ICC charge the political and military leadership with "war crimes" than us accept a truce where we release thousands of terrorists, dismantle the netzarim corridor, let all the Palestinians return to northern Gaza and essentially end the war.
Feminist icon and women's rights pioneer, Jamila al-shanti, murdered in cold blood by the Zionists.
She broke through many a glass ceiling to reach her position and now she's broken through the last one: Martyrdom and the gates to heaven.
RIP babe
Egypt is humiliating itself in a major way here. What they are telling the world is that the only thing they are willing to do to stop the supposed genocide of their Arab brothers in Palestine, is to join a lawsuit
Of course they don't actually believe a genocide is taking place
Why doesn't the Likud change it's name to the Hebrew National Congress, or the HNC for short, to shake off any residual colonial cobwebs from the party's history?
This perfectly sums it up
It’s a very small yet cunning and powerful group who runs Israel and has infiltrated and controls the American government
They have weaponized terms like antisemitism to silence those who criticize them
FYI guys, the comment below in relation to Putin's offer to Ukraine is very similar to what we are being asked to do with Hamas. Peace with Saudi Arabia in exchange for a very brief respite with Hamas and Hezbollah, all while Hamas gets to rebuild its military capacity.
SCAM!!
@CalibreObscura
I'm not doubting their resilience, which is obviously extremely high, I'm doubting their ability to make significant gains with the current level of support they are recieving from the west and especially America.
The west's support appears to be wavering and Putin smells it.
