Southern Ghana will be cloudy with cases of slight to moderate rain especially over the southwest. Few breaks of sunshine will be experienced later. There’s a possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon into the evening over the forest and some inland areas of the coast.

There’s a bi-modal rainfall pattern for the south (below latitude 8N). March to June is the major season and September to November is the minor. However, the start and end varies each year.
Note that the names ‘major’ and ‘minor’ are not necessarily related to intensity of rain.
Southeastern Ghana has been engulfed by a rain bearing cloud. This is producing rain of varying intensity within the Volta region. Areas within the Greater Accra and Eastern will be affected before drifting to the Central, Western and parts of the Ashanti.
A rainstorm is approaching Southern Ghana. Rain clouds are already building up slightly north of the coastline. Parts of the Eastern, Volta, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Western regions would experience rains today.
You may need an umbrella today as well ☔️ especially if you are within the Oti, Eastern, Greater Accra, Northern, Savannah and Upper West regions. The intensity and distribution of the rain will however be lower along the coast.
It’s raining over parts of southern Ghana. Other areas are also experiencing drizzle of varying intensity. This will make the road slippery and visibility poorer. Road users should be extra cautious.
Rain and thunder clouds are observed over parts of southern Ghana. Areas within the Volta, Eastern and inland parts of the Greater Accra region should experience rains this morning. Parts of the Central and western regions will as well experience rains.

Early morning mist over southern Ghana will clear to bright and sunny weather with periodic clouds. Few areas in the south will experience rain later in the day.
Northern Ghana will generally be fair during the day. Isolated thunderstorms are expected in the evening.
