Today I managed to shove 8 individually signed and nonced transactions between 8 uncompressed accounts into one solana transaction using the

Yeah, similar. Solana doesn't have a mempool so durable nonces are an alternative for a similar mechanic.
Durable nonce replaces the recent blockhash in a tx. This allows a client signature to persist if the blockhash becomes stale.
That said, just using a durable nonce
