@BriannaWu This issue was blown out of proportion because about plagiarism was never the issue at all. It was about putting pressure on an Ivy League dean who had accepted an ideology that allowed for prejudice against a group of people as long as we call them "oppressors".

@BriannaWu Completely agree. My hypothesis is that WSJs editorial ideal of economic accuracy provides them an unbiased base that acts as a check for non-economic related biases. Other news sites that are just trying to "get it right", don't have a safe truth barometer and struggle more.

@TomWojcik If history has taught us anything, I don't think that's possible. As long as humans are involved in deciding other humans' societal outcomes, there is inherently implicit bias and unhappy people. Opportunities must be equal, but outcomes must be the product of individual choice.

We know this on an individual level and the same applies at the societal level. Cheering on a hater is typically not the best path to a resolution.
