@GinaIppy In 2007, I was a Finalist in the Nicholl so was flown out to LA for the awards. We were told “congrats— this is an incredible achievement. If you meet with producers or studios during this strike, you’re blacklisted for life.” So I marched the picket line at Paramount. ✊️

I don't call myself a comedy writer but I do write w/ comedic elements. Like many of you (yay! Congrats!) I found out my pilot is an AFF 2nd rounder in the comedy pilot category. In 2018 it was a 2nd rounder in the pilot drama category. Not sure what to do w/ this information 😂

Got attacked by 2 dogs on the morning walk. Just passing by and they ran out of the house and came at us. Glad I didn't have my old lab with me. Also, why the fuck do we keep getting attacked. I'm going to get PTSD from walking my damn dog.

After two weeks (aka: forever) on chp 16 I am on chp 17. Chp 17 is the final chapter of this draft. In approximately 5k words, I will no longer be drafting. I will have a 70k word novel that I will be EDITING (and adding approx 10k more words). Pour the champagne. #WRAC18

Took me a month to rewrite my pilot. Total slog. Every moment like pulling teeth. Could only write small bits each day. Feature rewrite 6 days. Very fluid. Completely immersed. What's the takeaway?

As threatened yesterday, someone finished their novel & surprise that someone is me. It took two mos longer than planned b/c I ended up revising it 2x (not in its life, there hv been many, many other drafts), BUT I'm finally ready to send it to the readers I had lined up. Phew.
