I’ve been waiting for a liver transplant for just over 7 months due to Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. PSC is a rare, immune-mediated liver disease that affects the bile ducts and liver. There is currently no treatment or cure, and for many the only hope is a liver transplant.

After a good year post #LiverTransplant I’ve been diagnosed with #UlcerativeColitis & have been experiencing my 1st flare. 4 weeks of high dose Prednisolone, decision made to admit me for IV steroid treatment, and hopefully biologic infusions too. Will B good as new in no time🤞🏻

Do the BSG/BASL Covid risk groups reflect this? Decompensated cirrhosis is only classed as Increased risk and not High risk. Should BSG/BASL guidelines not err on the side of caution given amount of data?

New to the ‘ice bathing’ world and from barely being able to stand in the bath 2 weeks ago, I’m feeling pretty chuffed that I managed 1 min 30s today! - Air temp: 1c & Water temp: 5c ..🥶 Definitely NOT at the stage where I would call this fun, it’s purely a mental challenge!

@PSCSupportUK 2 years later & I’m still on the trial. My study Doc (who has since become my consultant) now has a very detailed understanding of my medical history & how changes in the condition impacts me day to day. I’m even more supportive of clinical trials now than I was when I enrolled🤞🏻
