The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services is publishing an Evacuation Warning for the Wilton, Rancho Murieta, Herald, Dillard Road and immediate surrounding areas. Flooding is likely to occur late tonight (Saturday, January 14).

Cosumnes Fire crews responded to 259 calls for service on Dec 31-Jan 1. That's twice the amount in a typical 48-hour period. We thank our local, regional and state public safety partners and dispatchers who helped us serve and protect our community throughout these winter storms.
The Point Pleasant area's evacuation warning has been escalated to an Evacuation Order. Flooding in the area is imminent. Floodwaters become incredibly dangerous after sunset (at 4:56pm today).
On 09/12/22, at 8:11 p.m., Ofcrs responded to a report of multiple people shot in the 200 block of McFarland St.
A 25-year-old Galt resident, Jimmy Crisp, succumbed to his injuries. Two other victims suffered from gunshot wounds.

On July 28th, 2022, at 6:17 p.m., GPD Dispatch received reports of shots fired in the 300 block of 5th St. When Officers arrived, evidence of a shooting was located. Multiple vehicles & structures were struck. There were no reports of anyone struck or injured from the incident.
On July 4th, at 10:58 pm, Galt PD Dispatch began to receive reports of multiple people shot in the 600 block of Myrtle Ave.
Ofcrs arrived within minutes & located 3 victims, who were transported the hospitals with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
