The reality is the game of baseball is not fair. There are guys more talented than you who don’t put in half the work you do. & There are guys less talented than you getting better opportunities than you. You can either bitch about it, or DO something about it. Take action!

Play or Train this summer? -Are you the best player on your team? -Are you better than 65% of the players at the next level? -Have you had serious interest from teams/orgs at next level? No? Then you should probably train until you can say yes to 2 of these.

Recovery is critical. Luckily, it’s quite simple: - 9+ hours of quality sleep per night - 1g of protein/lb of lean body mass per day - minimum of 0.3 g of fat/lb of body weight per day - plenty of water - daily mindfulness/meditation Make sure you’re getting these basics right.

Start here. Most guys struggle with command because they never took the time to master the ability to throw the ball down the middle of the plate. This is your anchor. When you can put the ball in the middle consistently, moving to hitting corners becomes MUCH easier.

Per high level MLB data guys:7% of 0-0 center cut FB are put in play for hits.3% for 0-0 middle-middle CB. MLB pitchers miss target by avg of 12” every pitch. My take:Throw everything right down the middle. You’ll stay ahead. Work fast & defense will ⬆️ Doesn’t seem complicated.
