That legend of yours was shot down by an anti aircraft gun operated by a Somali female and caught by a Somali female solider, when he tried to escape she made him walk in an embarrassing way for 3 hours until he was handed over to SNA command at Filtu. Utter humiliation.

After 3 days of fierce fighting on the outskirts of Dhagaxbuur Lieutenant colonel Abdirahman Warsame was replaced by Brigadier General Yuusuf Ahmed who reorganised his men during the night and ordered an attack on the city the following morning, the city fell within 5 hours.

The 1964 war was a Historic moment in our history, SNA was only 4 yrs old and only had 5k troops 8 tanks and no air support faced 70k Eth Troops alongside 48 tanks and endless air support. Against all odds we held our ground and forced the enemy to trench warfare.

Ethiopia tried to invade the Somali Republic in 1964 but were quickly defeated by outnumbered SNA troops & chased them out. Ethiopia was shocked how a 4 year old nation stood its ground against an “Empire” SNA was led by Gen. Daud Hirsi who got injured on the battlefield.

Born in 1957, AHN Halgame Abdikarim Muxumed Xaji joined the WSLF in 1973 fought in the 1977 war, was one of the first people to join ONLF, was elected the first governor of Qoraxey in 1992, and participated in the war of independence. Hero❤️

In 1948 the Brits handed over 90% of our beloved home of Ogaden and in 1954 handed over the remaining 10% of the ogaden to Ethiopia formally known as (British Ogaden) Ever since the people of the Ogaden have been fighting for their independence.

During the 1977 war the Somali high command only placed 3000 soldiers on the Kenyan border and would regularly go in to harass them, funny enough the “Kenyan” state never attacked to help their allies 🤣🤣🤣

On a day like this 45 years ago, WSLF had liberated all areas in the occupied Ogaden Except Major cities like Godey,Qabridahar,Dhagaxbuur and Jigjiga. As they were preparing for a full out assault on all cities a letter from Mogadishu had arrived ordering them not to attack.
