Today marks the 112th Anniversary of Accra Hearts of Oak SC - one of Africa’s oldest surviving football clubs. The Rainbow Club was founded officially on this day in 1911 by a group of young men in Ussher Town led by by Christopher Brandford Nettey (later Asafoatse Nettey).

This morning we welcomed the sacred corn (Abele) and "Shaami tsei" from Oyibi to Nungua. This paves way for the Ga-Dangme people to begin the consumption of the new corn which is a significant food crop during the entire celebration of the Homowo festival.

In 2018, Patoranking featured on an Afro-jama song titled “Jama” by DJ Mic Smith (and Shaker), which visuals depict life in Jamestown. He lived in Osu, Accra, while schooling in Ghana, so it’s no surprise he is fluent in the Gã language.
