Today we said goodbye to our first cohort of indoor hockey players, who started the tradition of signing a board with their names & proudest achievement. As the girls to unwrap these boards & use them for the first time, it is fitting that they signed the number 1 board

On Friday we said farewell to some very special Year 13 hockey players, who took part in the tradition of signing a hockey board with their names and best GMS achievement. Our U14s then played their first ever indoor match together to keep the cycle continuing.
3rd place finish for our U14 girls at the regional pools. Always a tough ask to progress out of a group of 5, but the girls played some outstanding hockey to rival many of the schools that went through. Congratulations girls - we’re very proud of you.

4 GMS girls helping Marlow HC through to the national indoor hockey finals. Most represented school in the team! Well done girls and good luck for the national finals
Our GU18s march on into round 4 of the National Tier 2 Plate after a tough fixture vs Felsted. With one sub, a hostile crowd and a 3 hour round trip, the team showed real grit, composure and maturity to see out the game. MVP Colette.

GU18s fall agonisingly short of becoming back to back

T2 Plate Finalists, losing in a shoot out to Wells Cathedral. GMS dominated in terms of possession, D entries & shots on target, but it wasn’t to be. We are incredibly proud of your fight and resilience today ❤️
A proud day for former GMS student and all of his family and friends. Stasio Maltby played his debut international rugby match for Poland; a footballer turned rugby player by GMS in year 7. A true inspiration to us all! 🇵🇱🏉
Fantastic play from the U14 girls hockey team yesterday. They showed incredible teamwork and resilience, finishing 2nd in the group and qualifying for the county finals 💪🏻🏑

GU18 indoor hockey county champions! The team didn’t have the best start, but they showed the ultimate resilience and maturity to come back from 2-0 down to beat SWB 4-3. They then put in a dominant display against WHS to gain a 6-2 win. MVP Rachel

This week saw GMS hockey come to a close for our Year 13 students. They finished their 7 years with a 3-0 win over local rivals, and friends,
@BorlaseHockey
A fitting end to an extraordinary journey.
The Year 7 National Cup run sadly came to an end last Friday against an extremely organised Shenfield High side, in the semi final of the National Cup. The boys made GMS history making it through as one of the top 4 teams in the country, out of the 599 teams that entered.
A fantastic effort from the year 9 girls at their district hockey tournament. The girls were undefeated right up until the end of normal time in the final, but unfortunately lost on penalty strokes to a strong SWB side. Congratulations on a really successful season girls 🏑🥈
Fantastic end to the term for the Y7 netball squad with 31 girls representing the school against Claire’s Court. All four teams were victorious in a well contested matches- the girls demonstrated the vast amount of progress they have all made since joining in Sep. Well done ⭐️
