I'm trying my best to like Rising, I really am. But its so hard to not be a bit sad when something I looked forward to for so long turns out to just add a bunch of things that makes the game unfun for me. I'll keep playing because I do have some hope but its really discouraging

Something I really hate when discussing fighting games is when people try to oversimplify how to deal with things their character has Like people will be like "Just do XXXXX" like thats an actual real answer when its clearly not that simple. Random but its really annoying 😐

I've come to accept the reality that I cannot simply play to win in fighting games when it comes to character choice. Its something that I am going to just embrace going forward. Fun is just too big of a factor for me, so I'm just going to try my best with what I get from here.

GGST at the moment is at that point where I don't necessarily hate the game itself but hate how it exposes my lack of understanding RPS and Risk/Reward. I truly feel like I messed up somewhere learning fighting games because I just can't find logic behind decisions in this game.

#GGST_MI Just a J.D Fuzzy example, she can get this confirm from pretty much anything that forces opponent to stand and worst case scenerio you get Kapel pressure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You can also Fast RC and go low and it auto confirms if they get hit by Badmoon.

I gotta learn how to not take my losses in Strive so hard. There is something about strive that makes me feel really awful when I lose and it is having a big effect on my enjoyment of the game as a result. Definitely gotta learn to play this game without Stressing 🥺

IMO one of the best fighting games I've ever played. Very aesthetically pleasing and has clean neutral/footsies. I can go on and on but I really hope people give this game a shot. Its genuinely great.

Just gonna say my take on Zeta before I take a break from rising til patch. Zeta is not even in the same realm of power that Nier and Seox are and I think there are other characters that are arguably on her level or slightly better. I don't think shes top 3 FREE imo.

Im really really feeling Yuel so far. Its hard but I think I'm on the right track on how to play her. I think its going to take a couple or weeks to really start flowing but once I get there 😈 I will still play Zeta too, but mostly for specific MUs (Lowain🤪)

Random thoughts -I think Zeta is busted but you have to play her a bit different than OG GBVS. Stupidly strong char tho -I personally have more fun in the game atm playing Yuel, I think this character is extremely strong too. - I hate Cag / Seox -Enjoying the game alot :)

Zeta has definitely spoiled me on so many matchups. I feel like so many other characters I've tried just lack so many options to so many situations. It makes Zeta feel extremely strong at times. There are things that she just does not have to deal with at all.

I really really wish my favorite fighting games had better netcode. Not trying to beat a dead horse but it honestly makes me sad quite often. Its so nice to see what rollback has been doing for other games, but I just want it for MY games now 😭

I haven’t entered a lot of Strive tournaments since it’s release because I was alittle afraid of burning myself out like I did with GBVS. But…starting thursday I plan on entering EVERY tournament I possibly can for awhile. Feeling very confident 😌
