Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Cedric Maxwell and Robert Parish have come to Boston for the start of the NBA playoffs.
The Garden is about to be rocking tomorrow.
Well the Celtics had the first black player (Chuck Cooper), the first black starting 5, the first black coach and 2 of the last 3 black coaches to win championships.
Why wouldn't black people be Celtics fans?
I admit I was wrong. Was skeptical on the Blake signing early in the year. Didn't like he had joined KD & Kyrie in Brooklyn.
He's been incredible. Played his role to perfection. Still defends at a high level. Hustles, plays hard. And even knocks down 3s. What a contribution
Jaylen Brown can be given a max contract extension right now (I do believe?)
I think the Celtics should offer it to him. He locks himself in, realizes the team is committed and doesn't have to worry about trade rumors.
Imagine Isiah Thomas fouling Larry Bird late in a playoff game and then Isiah going over and putting his hand on Larry? Bird would've smacked it away. Same as Jaylen did last night with Giannis.
It's playoff basketball so screw those guys.
Jayson Tatum isn't Kobe Bryant. He's not Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan or Carmelo Anthony or Paul Pierce or Dominique Wilkins. He's different from all of them.
He's Jayson Tatum.
And I'm here to appreciate his greatness. Boston loves ya

I watched the Nuggets-Thunder game (Denver announcers), the Suns-Grizzlies game (Suns announcers) and the Blazers-Lakers (Lakers announcers) and all I can say is I am SO fortunate to have gotten to listen to this guy for the last 35+ years.
The absolute best in the business.
Today is the 90th birthday of the late Bill Russell. 🕊️

Kevin Durant had a chance to be a Celtic in 2016. He could've created an incredible legacy for himself. But he decided to join the Warriors.
Not interested in him 6 years later.
Is Paul Pierce sorry?
"For what?" As he prepares to enter the Hall of Fame, the Celtics legend has no regrets—not even for that one video....

4 hours of Len Bias programming on ESPN tonight from 7 to 11. To tie you over, here are 30 really cool short stories about Len you may not have known about him:
Celtics had the first black player. The first black starting five. And the first black head coach. All while the Miami Heat didn’t exist.
What a douchebag you are
I absolutely love Malcom Brogdon. Not saying he's as good as Jo Jo or DJ but he gives me similar vibes of a calming presence. This guy should've been a Celtic for life.
This guy went head-to-head with Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace and Joe Smith, all while being undersized. Played his ass off. What a talent.

Today would've been Len Bias' 60th birthday. There's not a week that goes by that I don't still think of him and how happy I would've been had he played for the Celtics.
Please Celtics DO NOT trade Jaylen and Smart for Mr Sensitive. This is NOT trading Al Jefferson for 31 year old KG!
Garnett was hungry and loyal, two things Durant is not. He will demand a trade the moment something isn't to his liking.

Lebron doesn’t flop? Have you been watching nba for the last 20 years Darvin? 🙄
