The decision to not allow promotion to the Prem for both Ealing & Donny is very poor & yet another backwards step for rugby. Why does capacity need to be at 10k+ when there’s teams already in the Prem with average gates lower than that. Yet again we make a short-sighted decision

I’m all for tackling lower. I’m all for keeping players safe. But rugby is a dangerous sport, you get hurt playing it - look at Chessum this week. If that’s a red then the game is done. How can anyone react on such short time frames? They can’t. Utterly horrendous decision.

Whatever I think of the overall England selection, the obsession to play Farrell no matter what is baffling. Ford outplays him at 10, it’s not working at 12 - it’s not a disaster to have him on the bench. Why we’ve got ourselves into such a cul-de-sac on him I don’t know.

The fact that someone so genial and laid back as Nick Mullins is starting to get fed up with how the game is going should be a worry for the sport. Death by TMO & contentious cards is not a good position for the sport to be in. We really do need a sensible debate on this topic.

Very sad news. But Rob was so inspirational in how he attacked his illness & maintained his positivity. My wife’s uncle had MND & he always spoke about Rob & his outlook on things as being an inspiration. The work Rob & Sir Kev did to raise awareness of MND was unreal. RIP Rob.

Hard to pick out too many individuals from yesterday as it was a great team performance, but shout out to Joe Heyes. I thought he was magnificent, not just in the scrum but his carrying, defence and workrate around the park. Looks very worthy of an England spot imo.
