A bright moment from today’s townhomes fire. “Blue” was thought to have perished in the fire but somehow she survived. Her owner was beyond thankful to Officer Palmer, Officer Gerand, and DFRS for not giving up on Blue.
More rain is expected over the course of the next few days as this continues to be an active and dynamic event. Road closures are expected & we will continue to provide updates. Please stay safe & call us if you need us - we will be here! TYIA

Over the past 6 weeks, we’ve seen an increase in missing juvenile females. A common thread is they have left home to see a friend. Social distancing can be hard for teens who feel cut off from friends, and as a result, may feel sad, depressed, hopeless, nervous, or angry.
The body of Curtis Mason Smith, who FPD reported as missing this weekend, was found Sunday
@FredCoSheriff
The sheriff’s office is handling the investigation and if you have any information that could help in this case, please contact the FCSO tip line at 301-600-4131.
