(Part 2) Jesus came to fulfill the Law (Matt 5:17-18). His Gospel emphasized love because Jews were following the Law (Justice) alone until that time & ignored love. The equal importance of love & justice is well illustrated in Ex. 34:6-7. Jesus did not deviate from this.

Part 4 - Jesus gives us peace (Jn 14:27) or swords (Matt 10:34)? Contextual interpretation (Cont.). In John's Gospel, he was summarizing his entire ministry & his overall purpose & was to bring peace to us. We, however, should expect conflicts in the process of evangelization.

(Part 1) I repent. I broke my own rule: never quote a living person for a negative example for the principle we are trying to convey. I quoted the example of Clarence and Ginni Thomas. I tried to convey that justice should accompany love, not love alone for the Gospel message.

Seeking your high opinion. Jesus said "My peace I give you" (Jn 14:27) & also said "I have not come to bring peace but a sword" (Matt 10:34). In Lk 12:51, he said he did not come to bring peace but division. How do you interpret these verses? Did Jesus have a split personality?

Some of the comclusions on authority: 1. Use the Qur'an to reach out Muslims 2. Jesus used the OT to reach out to the Jews 3. Use the Hindu authority to reach out to Hindus, the Buddhist authority to Buddhists, the Confucian classics to Confucian cultire, etc.

US Supreme Court Justice Thomas should as a minimum recluse himself for anything related to 2021 Jan 6 event. His wife, Ginni, was strongly endorsing to change the result of 2020 US Presidential election. The Jan 6 event was an illegal attempt to undo the 2020 US election.

The Ukrainian refugees reminds my experience during the Korean War, 1950-53. I had to walk on the road covered with sharp stone pieces, which helps the cars but not children. I finally cried. My mom & grandma put me on the rick shaw. All men ran away or fighting the war.

Jesus had done many amazing things in 3.5 yrs. He produced 12 Apostles and 120 (Acts 1:15) to 500 (1Cor 15:6) faithful followers. I did my ministry for 13 years and I could not find one successor for my ministry. How I wish to find one man who shares my vision!

Two things matter when we elect our officials: Personal Character & Poplicies. Most people decide whom they want to vote for by looking at policies alone. Policies can be changed easier than the personal character. Once a crook gets in, he/she could do a great damage.

Another opinion I want to receive from all people. Jesus Quoted the Old Testament 78 times & never criticized the OT. Why? He did away 80 to 90 % of the OT in the Gospel. Why did he quote the OT? Does it make sense to you? Waiting for your response.

Part 3 - A practical answer to why Jesus quoted so many times from the OT. Social psychology says that authority makes people listen. The OT was the highest authority for the Jews. Jesus relayed his message through their authority so that Jews follow him.

The Bible teaches "wages for work," not "guaranteed wage with no work." Deut 25:4, Luk 10:7, Rom 4:4, 1Cor 3:8, 1Tim 5:18. AOC plan is good for compassion, but it takes away incentives to work. She should revise the plan so that people would have incentives to seek work+wages.

The difference between Jesus and us. Jesus was the Son of God or second person of Godhead and knew the Old testament better than any Jews. We are mere humans and have to study scriptures of other faiths so that we know more about it than peoples of other faiths.

Paul received authority from Jesus. Paul called Jesus the Son of God several times and the Lord (implying Yahweh God) more than 70 times. Paul delivered the Gospel message of Jesus, his authority. He himself followed the Gospel teachings of Jesus.
