Colts fans have sat thru Tolzien, Brissett, Wentz, Ryan, Foles, Ehlinger, & Minshew. What's that gotten us? 0 playoff appearances & outside 17 & 22, middling draft picks. We can make it thru watching this kid w insane upside, play & learn. His upside is off the charts.
Why did the Titans sweep the Colts? Simple: 92 drop backs with Wentz (40 on 2 sprained ankles); 26 carries for Taylor IN 2 GAMES. That's moronic play calling, especially when you have the 2nd best RB in the NFL & a great run blocking OL.
Ballard is a G for this Wentz trade. Colts would've cut him, ate the $, & got nothing. He was gone. Instead they got, 2022 2nd (5 spots higher), 2022 3rd, & 2023 3rd (becomes a 2nd if he stays healthy). AND SNYDER IS PAYING HIS ENTIRE SALARY. 🤣 Bravo Chris Ballard 👏
I just want to point out the Colts defense held both of these teams to 17 points. 34 total. Tells you how good the Colts defense played & how awful the Colts offense was.
Colts QBs since 1998:
Peyton Manning: 1998-2010
Collins/Painter/Orlovsky: 2011
Andrew Luck: 2012-2018
Jacoby Brissett: 2017, 2019
Philip Rivers: 2020
QB play since 1998:
19 yrs of good to elite play
2 yrs of average/mediocre play
1 yr of bad
My point: Colts fans are SPOILED
My thoughts:
1. Hated the Gus Bradley hire initially
2. Hate it more now
3. He will last the season & be gone.
4. This team isn't good. They will win a few games & Ballard will be gone. I honestly think he wants to get fired at this point the way he handled the offseason.
The Colts never wanted to trade him. They want him to play, ball out in this new system, & sign him to an extension. It sounds crazy but nobody values JT more than the Colts.
Today's Dolphins game just dropped J. Taylors value even more. Word is the Packers are no longer interested in JT. The Colts really dropped the ball during their trade discussions with the Dolphins.
Safe to say Mostert has had his best 2 game stretch ever in his career and he
I respectfully disagree
1. JT was CLEARLY hurt
2. If he's on the field, they are keying on him
3. Goodson repped this play all week, for that exact look, they got it.
4. The play was WIDE open
5. QB2 missed an easy throw
It wasn't the play call. It was the execution.
AR5 is the Colts starting QB, end of story. He's 22 years old w little experience. You DO NOT bench him, period. Experience=learning. He has off the charts traits. Yes, he's been bad the past 2 gms (especially yesterday). Failure is the best teacher. Be patient. (1)
JT thing has made me appreciate Pitt even more. Same draft, same round, final year of rookie deal. He's handling the same general situation (different positions obv) like a pro. He's gonna go earn that new deal, whether in Indy or elsewhere. I respect that. Hope it's in Indy 💯
This is gonna be an interesting off season for the Colts. Keep an eye on the QB position, this could be a one & done situation. Nobody is happy with Wentz on W56th, NOBODY.
My thoughts on Wentz:
1. You CAN win w him
2. He's NOT a Top 10/Elite QB
3. Taken care of the ball MUCH BETTER than expected
4. Volatile (highs are very high, lows are very low).
5. Mechanics, accuracy, decision making MUST improve NEXT YEAR. That'll help consistency/volatility.
Update on Watt: The Colts are being aggressive. JJ Watt is a high priority for them. Hope to have some more news on possible FA interests later tonight.

Nick Sirianni was a huge loss to the Colts offense when he left. Not only was he uber creative, but he was the only guy on staff that would challenge Reich on his ideas. Now the Colts have a group of "yes" men, "friends of Frank" on the offensive staff. He set it up this way.
Irsay should have cleaned house after 2022. This is on him. Shit rolls downhill. Ripple effect. Ballard stays, doesn't fire Gus. Doesn't address secondary. Here we are in 2024 with an astonishingly bad defense. Same as 2023. Same as 2022. You get the picture. It's depressing.
It's really insane. Think about it:
Rodgers suspension CB2
JT saga/hurt
QB1 out for season
Grove suspension
Flowers out for season CB3
Juju out for weeks CB4
No Jelani Woods
OL injuries (Smith/Kelly multiple games)
Shaq regressing (released)
This team is tough!
The more I think about it the more it pisses me off that not one Colts player did anything when Foles is writhing around, & Thibodaux is acting like a punk MF. Y'all some bitches for that. I could care less about the game.
Steichen is 180° from Reich. I love how he makes adjustments based on performance. Puts players in position to succeed & will adjust offense around those players' strengths. No
BS platitudes about mountain climbing. Just straight ball.
Somehow the Colts are still the 7 seed. Pittsburgh is a MUST win. Colts are 0-8 v Pittsburgh since 2008. Colts haven't beaten Pittsburgh at home since 2005 on MNF. This has to change Saturday.
I feel like Trent Richardson doesn't get enough credit from Colts fans. He was a groundbreaking player, he broke barriers. The first blind player to ever play in the NFL. He doesn't get celebrated enough.

Colts fans are something else. People picked us to be the worst team in the NFL w/AR5. Despite all the obstacles, we have won 8 games. Enjoy the last 2 games, and get LOS rocking. The future is bright in Indy. I see way too much negativity without perspective.
Just gonna leave this here.
JT28 90+ yds rushing:
2021: 6-0 (career 11-0)
JT28 less than 90 yards rushing:
2021: 0-6 (career 6-10)
Carson Wentz throwing 35+ times
Colts: 0-5 (career 16-30-1)
Carson Wentz throwing less than 35 times
Colts: 6-1 (career 25-7)
I rest my case
I've been watching the Colts since 1983, through 1,2,3,4 win seasons, lots of bad teams especially from 83-97. This is by far the most EMBARRASSING performance in Indianapolis Colts history. What a DISGRACE.
These 2 things are BOTH true:
1. Wentz must play better & be more consistent from game to game & even within games
2. The Colts must add talent/speed to the WR corps. I expect 2 new WRs in 2022 & Zach Ertz added at TE.
A day later, I feel the same about the 4th & 1 play. They repped it all week for a specific M2M look WITH GOODSON. They got the look. Shane called the perfect play. Minshew made a HORRENDOUS throw & Goody couldn't come up with it. It was execution of the play, not the call.
My final thought on Colts/JT: the Colts are doing the right thing. He's asking for an insane amount of money. They want to see how everyone looks in this new offense before dishing out extensions & they want to see if 28 can remain healthy & productive. It's that simple.
The Colts have a ton of dead weight on their roster. Nick Foles, Wesley French, Luke Tenuta, & Ben Banogu are essentially useless. Those spots need to be used to improve WR/TE/DE immediately.

has learned, barring
any setbacks, Colts CB Xavier Rhodes will return vs the Titans. He has missed the first two games due to a calf injury.
Flus did a great job getting the defense ready to play. Outstanding games by EJ Speed & the rest of the guys who played their asses off. Flus deserves a ton of credit too.
Thompson leaves, Thorpe quits, Washington tears ACL, Moyer gets high ankle sprain & is about 75%, Sidibe knee issues & is about 75%, Chukwu w back issues, Frank w a injured wrist. Considering that, somehow this team won 20 & made the tournament. Never been so proud of a Cuse team
The Colts & Jim Irsay haven't had a good year. That said, he was the only owner with the stones to call Dan Snyder out publicly. Other owners should follow suit & hopefully precipitate change.
We’ve spent years talking about how Dan Snyder hasn’t been held accountable. Today’s report makes clear that it’s time to hold the NFL—and the other owners—accountable for enabling his behavior.
Can someone explain the regression in Ryan Kelly, Quenton Nelson, & Braden Smith to me. They aren't close to the players they were 2 years ago. Is Chris Strausser that bad? Are they all hurt? WTF? Also can Reich PLEASE play Fries at RG? He was fine in the 1 game he played.
I love the dude but he's gonna cost a ton & RBs are easily replaceable in today's NFL. If anyone offers a 1st I absolutely pull the trigger. No hate for Taylor either, he's a top 3 RB imo. But it's a passing league & it would speed up the rebuild.
Do you guys want
@ForTheCOLTure
& I to do a breakdown of what's going on w the Colts? If you'll listen we'll do it. I'll breakdown everything I know. That way I don't have to answer 1000 messages lol. Let us know. Please RT this & don't forget to subscribe!!

Colts need to take this loss, use it as fuel, & come out pissed off next week. I still believe this team can compete for a playoff spot. Need to go on a run:
New Orleans
@ Carolina
@ New England
Bye
Bucs
@ Titans
F tanking. Let's go win some games. Lot of ball to play.
I was told the deal is done. I'm not sure when it gets announced, but it's done. Ran it by someone in the Colts community with connects & they heard the same. CB with the late night work.
Obviously, Stroud declaring is good news for Colts fans. Another option at QB. Ballard & company will be grinding tape on Stroud, Levis, & AR15 for the next few months. One of those 3 will be a Colt next year. FO LOVES all 3.
(Better way to put it)
Derrick Henry 8 G; 219 car; 937 yds
Jonathan Taylor: 10 G; 161 car; 937 yds
JT has the same amount of yards in 58 less carries. That's impressive!
Jonathan Taylor high for # of carries: 18
Derrick Henry low for # of carries: 17
Jonathan Taylor 20+ carries in game: 0
Derrick Henry: 20+ carries in game: 7
The Titans get their best player the ball.
The Colts don't.
The end.
I know we are all pissed & disappointed. One thing I will say is that regardless of tonight, the Colts got the right HC. He will only improve. He's established a culture of accountability both on the field and off. I promise you, he will work tirelessly to fix their issues.
The amount of people acting like getting rid of Carson Wentz was the wrong move is hilarious. He wasn't & isn't a guy that can lead you to a SB. If he was the QB, the Colts would be 0-2. I don't care who the QB is, if the team plays like today, it's irrelevant. Everyone sucked.
That is quite possibly the worst game by a "professional" CB that I've ever seen. The fact they left him on the field the entire game is an indictment on everyone.
Ballard has been in Indy for 6 years. 0 division titles, 1 playoff win (2018), & the team he built has regressed every year since 2020. He deserves a ton of blame too.
Colts WR Parris Campbell since being drafted in 2019:
Played in 17 of 52 possible games
37 receptions, 397 yards; 2 TDs
I loved this guy coming out of OSU but he's gotta show something at some point right?
Colts need to move Raimann to LT, Pryor to RG. Pinter backs up Ryan Kelly, Will Fries as OG backup, & Dennis Kelly as the swing T. Adjust the blocking schemes to help where needed. More chipping. The OL has been the root of the problem. If they don't adjust, nothing will change.
